Started off well. Greeted by a friendly host. Got seated, order taken, drinks brought. Well, after we got the food I realized my burger didn’t have the cheese on it. (Impossible burger) Okay that’s fine. Just a mistake. I waited for awhile and the waitress did not come back. Finally I just started eating. (my and child’s drink was empty by this point) she came back to leave the check and she got the refills. We seen that we were charged for the cheese and told her “Hey I didn’t get the cheese on this so can we get that taken off?” She was confused why it wasn’t on there and told us “Well you should’ve told me sooner” This caught me off guard because there was absolutely no need for a smart mouth response. So I told her she wasn’t over there for me to even tell her. She got flustered and went to get it taken off. Once we paid she dropped the card off and went to the bar area to sit down. Other child was out of her drink and needed a refill but the waitress wasn’t impressed by us at this point I guess. Manager came over to check on the table next to us, but not us. So I’m sure they done that on purpose. I don’t understand why she gave us such a snarky comment when the problem wasn’t her fault to begin with. We also understand being short staffed. We live in a very heavy tourism area. But when you go sit down and ignore us, that’s not a staffing problem. We always leave a 25-30% tip on our tab. This time it was not the case. We also needed a box for one of the kids meals but that didn’t happen either. There was a bone in one of the kids chicken tenders… which also isn’t her fault, but just figured I’d add that in there. (We didn’t say anything there because it was useless)
We were not rude. We literally just let her know there wasn’t cheese on the burger when it was on the bill. Having a bad day, and being disrespectful are two totally different things.
UPDATE: The food made all of us sick that night. I don’t suggest going here. I changed it from a 2 star...
Read moreI have to say that I come from New England and we recently moved to Florida. We had a guest over for a vacation so we decided to hit the pier and the family wanted Johnny Rockets for dinner. Why, because we haven't had a bad experience until June 14th. I have to say I am so disgusted and I have never ever given an establishment a low rating ever until now! As we were finishing our dinner I noticed two male employees go into the mens room wearing blue gloves that they wear to cook with etc... they each went in at separate times. I was shocked to see the first Male proceed to the mens room with the gloves and do his business then walk back out of the bathroom with the SAME blue gloves on!! Yes, he goes back to work maybe a dishwasher not sure, but comes out holding CLEAN glasses with his filthy gloves on and touching them!!! As I see that I then notice the second Male go to the mens room wearing his blue gloves!! Yup, he is in there awhile and we were shocked to see him come out wearing his blue gloves!! Touching the door handle and God only knows what else in there!! He then proceeds to going to his station and making guests their milkshakes!!!! By that point I was done and just wanted out of there. I've worked in the restaurant industry for years and I know that gloves that employees use DO NOT get changed in a restroom!!. That is unsanitary and the board of health would likely agree with me. With that being said, I would hope that something changes and each employee be properly trained on using the facilities while on duty!!
Disgusted and will NEVER EVER eat...
Read moreOne star is extraordinarily generous. Walked into a half-empty restaurant around 8:15—no more than 15 people, most had their food. Greeted instructed us to go to the counter to place an order to go, as we wanted to return to our hotel and relax after a day in the sun. Group of 4 with one child. Teresa—who may very well simultaneously be the most idiotic and rude waitress I’ve ever had the displeasure of encountering—took my order, placed it, then went off to take other orders, leaving my party waiting. After 20 minutes, she brings my food out, cashes out, and had to be reminded that their were others needing to place an order. It took ONE HOUR to place and receive to go orders. When questioned about the wait, Teresa said they were busy. As someone who worked in the industry while in college, I can confidently say that they were about as busy as a 24-hour McDonald’s at 3 am. I asked for a manager to get a refund on the last order of the group, because there was a mistake on her order, and instead of checking on it to ensure accuracy, Teresa stopped working to dance for five minutes. It should also be noted that throughout this ordeal, there was a line cook texting away on his cell phone! Manager was dealing with a credit card issue—their machines were down and they were only accepting cash. We refused to wait any longer and left. If you are looking for professionalism or urgency, this is not the place for you. If, however, you would like to see why heroin addicts work at a glorified fast food restaurant in the redneck version of Miami, then by all means,...
