Dill is a small hole-in-the-wall restaurant in a Ocean Walk Shoppes along A1A in the heart of Daytona. And yes, this is a hole-in-the-wall restaurant as you have Dick's and Bubba Gump right in the same area so it might go under the radar and might be easy to miss. I'd like to say, definitely don't ignore Dill. It's a unique offering for Daytona serving up Polish and Eastern European cuisine in the middle of all the seafood and tourist traps. Being a small restaurant, it has a great atmosphere reflecting more of a family restaurant feel compared to its neighbors in the Shoppes. A little plain but a nice and clean restaurant great for a gathering of you and a couple of your friends. The service was pretty good as well with the server happily answering any questions their customers have including a party near my table from the same conference I was attending who had questions on a couple of the menu selections. The server also did well to ensure my water was full and make sure I was taken care of. They have a unique menu for the area featuring a variety of different pierogies. For my visit, I had a mix of the potato and cheese pierogies and the beef and pork pierogies. I very much enjoyed both varieties. Both had a great mouth feel and had a nice balanced flavor. I also liked the dill dipping sauce they served with it. It's different than the typical applesauce, sauerkraut and sour cream options but it works very nicely here. Also, can't go wrong with a meat-filled pierogi as you don't see those too frequently. Only nitpick is that the pierogies are a bit smaller than I expected but you do get a good number of them on your order. If they were little bigger and still offered the same quantity on your order then it'd be perfect. Just too bad I'm too far away to come down and try the rest of the menu. If you're looking for something very different in the tourist haven of Daytona Beach, definitely give Dill a try.

We found this restaurant while exploring the stores and restaurants connected by the South tower of the Club Wyndham we were staying in. My girlfriend couldn’t decide on what to order so she ordered the Polish Plate, which is basically a sampler. This includes two stuffed cabbage, two potato pancakes, six potato & cheese pierogies, and a polish sausage served with their signature dill sauce, mustard, and apple sauce. It was a very good sized serving that I also tasted. Everything was well seasoned and flavorful. The sausage had the perfect snap and wasn’t too greasy. The dill square wasn’t overpowering with thirst the perfect flavor of dill with what I can best describe as a Ranch dip flavor. The potato pancakes were perfectly crispy around the edges and still soft and moist on the inside. The stuffed cabbage was firm and cut nicely yet moist and flavorful. The pierogies were firm on the outside and moist and tasty on the inside. I wanted to try their beef stroganoff because it was marked as a customer favorite. It looked just like Indian Chicken Tikka Masala, which isn’t a bad thing because Inlike that dish too😁. It was nicely flavored without being overpowering. I had never had it served on top of mashed potatoes and I would eat it like that again but I also love it over noodles. The side of their signature cabbage-dill slaw was light and refreshing. The slaw was sliced much thinner than normal slaw and the light vinaigrette sauce reminded me of Japanese cucumber salad but with a perfect hint of dill. We wanted to try their pistachio cheese cake. It was dense with a generous crushed crust and just enough pistachio flavor that you could taste it without being overpowering.

Wow, all I can say is every once in a while, you walk into a restaurant and look around you and think, maybe it will be good, and then your food comes out. It was truly amazing, I mean truly amazing. I have a large family, so every photo you see is something my family ordered tonight. My son, who is a chef, talked all seven of us in trying this great restaurant, and we are all thankful. The service was incredible, thank you, Cat. Even more is this is a family business that is only 2 months old, I couldn’t believe it to be the case. YOU HAVE to try this place if you like a five-star food experience 😋 at a restaurant quietly off the boardwalk of Daytona Beach in a space that looks like they could serve anything. I truly would strongly suggest that you try the filet which I ordered. However, in all of us trying almost everything of each person's plate, lol 😆 I didn't try anything that wasn't great, including the desert, which is gluten-free, by the way. Next time you are in Daytona Beach, do yourself a favor and treat yourself and whoever you are with to this great food. Hats off to your great staff and family. I truly loved it!!!!!
