Three Cousins Pizza/Stan&Ollie's Pub at the Historic Iron Horse Inn — Restaurant in Deadwood

I'm ashamed to say that l live a block and a half away and had not tried their products yet. BUT hubby and I just got the Italian beef sandwiches 30 min ago and I couldn't wat to review. Omg, where do I begin. Perfect beef, perfect flavor that I have spent last half hr RAVING about with my husband completely feeling the same. Flavor flavor flavor!!! And now for the portion size...HELLO, these little boxes had some heft to them. Perfect fries with perfect seasoning on them as well!! And alot of them. And some jus on the side. It's HOMEMADE..AND DONT TRY CALLING IT ANYTHING ELSE! Its certainly our new absolute FAVORITE! I care a great deal how any food I order out or dine in TASTES! Worst service I’ve ever had. I figured that the restaurant would be busy during Kool Dwd Nites, so I used the online ordering service 3 hours in advance. When I went to pick up, several employees looked at me and didn’t acknowledge me. One guy even came up to the counter and wouldn’t speak to me. When he finally did, I informed him I had an order, he said they didn’t, and told me they were pretty busy now so it would be awhile, but didn’t offer to take my order or even seem to care.I was trying to pull up my confirmation email and he just walked away. Shortly after, I got a call from the online ordering service saying that they couldn’t get ahold of the restaurant. If you don’t want to take online orders during busy times, then turn it off. This is a quaint location in Deadwood S.D. We ordered pretzel bites with a beer/cheese dip as an appetizer. The bites were average, but the cheese sauce was more like a thin soup, which sorely lacked the cheese, the flavor of cheese, or the flavor of beer as well. I thought the pizza that we had (the Carnivore, aka meat lover's) fell extremely flat on flavor. The sauce lacked seasoning, the pizza lacked a quality cheese, meat, or anything that jumped out at you regarding flavor. They made a bit of a deal regarding a variety of dipping sauces for the pizza, which were the only thing that added any flavor, IMHO. Should a well made pizza require a dipping sauce?
