First when you check in you need to go to gold dust as this place does not have a front desk or lobby. It's a cool old building and the room is really cool looking and unique. The location is great and has free parking on site. The cons were the curtains didn't really block out the light whuch was contstant due to street/parking lot lights and the living room area had a skylight so when the sun is up it makes it really bright. The other con was the street traffic noise in the morning. So if you're a light sleeper nit the best place. Would definitely recommend sleep mask and earplugs.

The advantage is the location right in the city centre, where you can reach everything in a minute. The downside is that you have to check in/out in another building and in the case of heavy rain, which I experienced, it's not so great. Overall though, it's okay.

The Branch House is conveniently located in downtown Deadwood. You can pretty much walk to any of the attractions and restaurants in the area. We would stay here again, but hopefully the WiFi connection will be better for future guests.

The location was good for walking around town. It was a small but sufficient room for 2 people. The bed was INCREDIBLY loud and it was impossible to roll over without waking up from the loud springs. The room was dimly lit, but felt clean. The worst part was that there was NO AIR CONDITIONING. When I asked the front desk about it (after our keys stopped working on the 2nd day) he said they hadn't switched over from heat to A/C so it "should cool down at night". It was in the 80s during the day so the room was very warm. It was never lower than 78 degrees in the room- even at 7am. It was uncomfortable to sleep in that warm of a room. I would not have booked knowing that the AC was not on. Unacceptable in my humble opinion to advertise and not have...

Was a good spot for walking and not far at all from the main street where we were most of the time. The rooms however were quite strange. We had a lot of bugs in our room i.e. flies, wasps, spiders. I couldn’t figure out where they were coming from until my boyfriend found a window ajar. Our check in time was 3 pm and we were told it wasn’t ready no big deal to us really until we weren’t able to get in until 5 pm and had dinner plans at 6. Some of the towels were dirty and the front desk situation was strange. Nice walking distance but I’d rather pay 100 more dollars to have a cleaner room further away than all those random bugs and...

It was described as a boutique hotel. No services due to Covid okay I get that. We walked in to wait I can describe as a 1920s style apartment studio with a window unit AC, broken toilet and BUGS! Not just one ant... no! Bugs crawling in the couch, sink, walls and floor. We called maintenance right away and was|Told they could spray for bugs while we were there or we could find another hotel. Everyone was completely booked. We had to stay the night and immediately cancelled the other two nights and booked with one of the nicer hotels at Cadillac jacks. If you don’t mind sleeping in a big infested broke down hotel at a steep cost...
