I had been to this location before pre-pandemic with no problems. I had some friends with me today and we wanted to go somewhere nearby for brunch and chose this location based on my recommendation from past experiences. Today was nothing like what Iâve experienced before. It was one of the worst experiences. My friend and I were gracious as the waiter (Im assuming was actually the manager on duty) made several errors to our order. First, he seemed confused that we wanted on our families on tel different checks. My friend had her 2 children with her and I had my 3 children with me. The waiter spent several minutes going over how we were splitting the check. This wasnât that big of a deal at all and we didnât hold it against him. Not mentioning that we didnât get water until 20 minutes after we sat down. Still not holding it against him. Orders were placed, then we were told they were out of grits. We were gracious and changed our orders to accommodate what the kitchen had. Then orders came out with several things wrongâŠdrinks were watered down, bacon was tiny compared to my daughter sitting right next to me, my order was missing an item, fruity cup was wrong, etc. We graciously asked that these things be fixed and the waiter said yes of course no problem and fixed them and told me my meal would be comped. Problem solved and eveyone is happy. When the bill comes, several items on my bill and my friends bill were wrong and my meal was not comped. We pointed this out and the waiter said sorry Iâll correct this. We were brought back the checks with the same errors still there. They said they would fix it and brought us the check back and it was still wrong on both checks. My friend went ahead and paid anyway. I went ahead and paid and went inside to speak with the waiter to let them know the check was still wrong but we were happy to pay anyway. We were not concerned about the money. The waiter yelled at me and told me I had been a problem since I walked in the door. I felt assaulted and told him he was speaking to me aggressively and he stormed away as another waiter came up to talk to me. I never once raised my voice or had any wrong tone in my voice. The waiter then came back up to me and continued to yell at me and told me to take it up with management and stormed off again. The other waiters were looking at him crazy and trying to remedy the situation. I felt emotionally frazzled by this waiter/manager and will never return to this location. As I told him it was not appropriate to be aggressive with any customer. Especially when the errors made were his own. Will never...
Read moreMy wife and I chose to take our mothers to patronize J. Christopher's in Decatur for the first time in celebration of my 51st birthday. Thanks to the Manager, Rona Emory the EXPERIENCE WAS RUINED. With my meal, I ordered a side of link pork sausage. When it was finally received, both links were slit open and flattened out. The other 2 orders of supposedly the same items at the table were served whole without slitting. Because the server stated earlier that they served both pork & turkey sausage, my wife and I both thought it might have been turkey. I informed the server who properly & promptly brought out links prepared the same way as the others. Rona Emory abruptly showed up at our table and in a condescending tone proceeded to scold me stating that there was no difference between the sausage links. When I proclaimed my feeling, which may have been incorrect about, she argued her point instead of just letting it go. She was determined that she was going to get the last word in. In fact she continued to state her point out loud as she walked away. I could only sit there in awe of Rona Emory's unproffessional method of addressing the issue. Although the stressful experience ruined my apetite and the overall experience, I not only paid our bill and tipped the server 20%, I also insisted that the additional sausage in question be added to the total. All said we actually thought the food and service were pretty good. It's unfortunate that the poor excuse for a manager, Rona Emory will be the cause for us to not spend our money or recommend this location to anyone in the near future.
#$90+ WASTED
It is my hope that this issue gets addressed and corrected.

Read moreSuper weird experience as an Uber driver on yesterday September 9, 2022 (Attn: Staff YOU SAW ME WALK IN HOLDING MY PHONE UP). I walked in and was not acknowledged (only glanced at) for a powerful 8 minutes before being spoken to (not greeted) by a staff member. As I occasionally stared at the TV mounted from the ceiling, I felt as those who were dining- in and sitting closest to where I was standing seemed to notice the awkwardness of it all. I was thinking to myself, this IS a restaurant. I doubt that they're treating everybody in here like this. They clearly decided to offer a food delivery service, but they're acting like they don't want me here. I had (2) orders and when the first order was ready, i waited patiently for the second order to be ready. Another customer walked in and stood beside me waiting for her take-out order and the female waitress/employee greeted her and made sure that she was taken care of. It was during that moment of confirmation that I knew my initial thoughts/vibes were valid. Then, I noticed that one of the cooks had no recollection of the second order, as I overheard him communicate it to the female waitress. Nobody came to me to tell me what was going on. Neither the waiter or the waitress seemed to care and it wasn't even my food! It was for (2) different Uber Eats customers. So, I told the waiter that I was going to have to leave and he nonchalantly said, Okay. This place should be renamed The Twilight Zone Cafe, because that ish was super weird and unprofessional. If you plan on ordering online from here, then I'm here to tell you that you'll be waiting........... because they act like they don't value...
