I came in tonight with my daughter because she wanted pizza and ice cream. I love golden corral and she has never been so I decided to take her after a long day of errands and shopping. The gentleman who checked us in was super nice, my receipt says his name is Ashley S. He was a latino gentleman. He was super sweet to my 3 year old as well. When it came time for dessert we went right up to get ice cream only for him to see us and realize what I was looking for. He informed me the ice cream machine was broken and gone. I was visibly upset and he apologized, I said that should have been disclosed upon check in as I would not have stayed and went to another location. I asked him if he could ask the manager for a small discount as we literally came specifically for pizza and ice cream and were not informed ahead of time their machine was broken. Other restaurants inform customers straight away if certain items will not be available that evening. It should have been disclosed to us and everyone else as well. I see him speaking to a latino woman with burgundy hair that I was later told was Pearla. He came over to inform me that she said no and I did see she seemed irritated when he was speaking to her. I asked him if he could write down the district managers name which I was told later was Lealan Wallen (cant read handwriting to know if the last name is correct.) He said yes and went to let Pearla know. She then proceeds to come over visibly looking irritated telling me look at my receipt info and it is all on there. I told her I would like it written down please ( I knew it wasnt on the receipt) she repeatrd herself multiple times as I repeated mine before she finally walked away rolling her eyes and came back with a name and number written down. I left immediately with my daughter as our dinner plans were ruined and she was upset she didnt get her ice cream. I walked up to the register and a tall, heavy set caucasian woman with piercings and the bottom half of her hair bright red, and asked her what was the managers name. She says oh Pearla, I said yes is that her name she said yes. She sees me write it down and I proceed to ask her for the gentlemans name and said he was really nice and I want to give him praises. She then immediately gets an attitude and says oh I forgot we arent supposed to tell you names. I said you guys wear name tags and she looks at her shirt immediately as if looking for her name tag ( which she has none on) and says we dont wear one. I said i would like his name please he was really sweet. She gets an attitude even more and says, "well you arent going to get anymore names" I said again he was sweet I want to report praises about him, and she says, "well Im not giving you his name" i turned around and walked out with my 3 year old forgetting her lemonade i sat down while talking, due to the disrespect of the employee. She was of course sad about that as well but I did not want to go back in there as I was upset with the overall experience except for the gentleman who rang me up at the register. Again he was super sweet. This was my first and will be my last time ever coming to this location. I had plans to bring all 5 of my kids back the next week but after this I will never come to this location again with this rudeness. I would like someone to...

ย ย ย Read moreMy wife, 7 kids and I went to this corral on new years. We arrived at 730pm they close at 9pm. We paid and the cashier said we can sit anywhere. We seen 2 tables next to each other that were clean. There were other people sitting in the area so we thought it was ok to sit at the table. When we started to sit down a man cleaning table told us we have to wait because he thinks the tables are closed. We waited and a few moments later a woman came over and told us we can sit there. The 2 workers started arguing about us I can assume. I took my 6yrs son and my 8 yrs daughter to make there plates. I came to eat chicken strip, steak and mashed potatoes with white gravy. This is all I eat at the corral. I go to the grill to see if they have anything well done. There is a worker standing there so I think it is open and I can get a steak. I ask the worker for a steak and he says he dont have anything. So I started look for the chicken strips for my daughter and I. She is a very picky eater she does not like chicken still attached to the bone. There is no chicken strips only fried chicken on the bone. We look for her something to eat and all she wants in the whole restaurant is fries. My son will eat almost anything. My wife comes to help fix my sons plate. I go back to the grill to see if there is any steak ready. I seen the first time I went to the grill there was one large peace of steak on there. I ask again if there is anything well done and he still refuses to serve me. I ask my wife if she can get a refund on my meal and I go set in my car until my family is done eating. I did not want them to charge me for just sitting and watching my family eat. This corral looks like it was recently built. The outside looks like it is big and has the full corral menu. However when you get inside there is alot of places sit but there's a small are dedicated toZ the food. The building is great. Everything was nice and clean. The food and service has changed. I like the old golden corrals food and service. This place should be called the silver corral they need to work a little bit harder to earn there right to be called the Golden Corral. At $17.43 per adult there should be almost a perfect experience. If I could give a negative star I would give it to this...
