Today was the final straw. I don't understand why the night shift can't get their act together. But they should be ashamed of themselves. 99% of my night visits are a total disaster. I order the same thing as I can't eat meat. I order the veggie sandwich with no onions or peppers and add cheese. That should be easy right? Nope, they mess it up by forgetting something or it looks sloppy, or both. Tonight was no different. The sandwich was missing the avocado and was a mess. So I just asked for the avocado, handed it back. They took it back, (which you technically shouldn't do) added two very small chunks of avocado to the edge and brought it back. No apology, nothing. Then as I'm waiting, the whole kitchen staff comes to the side door to stare at me and say whatever they said. At that point, I walked up to the manager Chello for a refund. I didn't trust them at that point and so she redunded me and as I told her why, she didn't have anything to say. No apology, just brushed it off. Mind you I am very polite and kind to them when they mess up my order. She didn't offer to make it herself or anything. She knows me because her crew has done this to me before. She kind of just chuckled. It wasnt until I was in tears that she apologized. She has the WORST customer service. The place is constantly dirty. The only reason I have ever come back was because Stevie took care of me and talked to his day crew. I've literally been here more times than I could count. I should stop coming here, but it's too far for me to go to another one. But I've had it, they don't care and they are lazy. The night crew just doesn't care and something needs to be done about it. Been here for a double pickup since 12:04 for merchant request to doordash for delivery of 2 orders. Picked up 1 order and asked about the 2nd order numerous times as it was due ready at 12:06. Both employees I asked didn't even bother to check the back, rather walked around acting as if doing other things. Walk in customers came and left with their food, so I asked again. Was told that it will come out when ready- that it is still being prepared. Brought up issue of been here since 1204, other people have left with walk in orders and this was due at 1206. Girl looked at computer and printed something out. Then told me it isn't in their system... mind you, MERCHANT request.(it means the order was placed directly with McAlister and they sent out pickup request to doordash). Manager came out and said they had received email from doordash that customer would be refunded and order had been canceled because doordash did not send the order to THEM correctly. AGAIN, REMEMBER THIS IS A MERCHANT REQUEST TO DOORDASH. So I asked for that email to call customer support with so that another dasher doesn't show up to a canceled order. Waited another 5 minutes and asked about that print out.... was told they are now making the order.... I called the customer to let her know what was going on with SHADY McAlister. Called Doordash and reversed my already picked up order and had them unassign me from both orders. Filed a complaint AND was paid for my time here. Read moreI ordered the Choose 2 with the BLT-A and cup of chicken and dumplings soup. I've ordered this meal many times. The quality and portions have really decreased, especially for the price. My husband and I ate for $28 with 2 sodas (one was free with my rewards points). I had to search for the avocado on my sandwich. There was just a smear of avocado, and I mean that literally. The chicken and dumplings soup, the dumplings were pretty shredded, not really dumplings in any sense of the word. Service was good and the inside temperate was good (it's often freezing inside), but the portion size and quality has really gone downhill. I wish I had taken a photo of my avocado smear, but I was really hungry. I'm not sure why my Choose 2 price added an extra $1.25. I'm also not sure why a cup of soup was an extra $3.00 ($2.99) as a side with my husband's sandwich. I realize the menu states that, but $3.00 for a small cup of soup seems a bit much. I'm not sure I can justify coming back for a mediocre sandwich and soup with these prices. When people have a choice of where to dine with inflation being what it is, it's time for people to stand up and demand more from the places we frequent, or at least the quality and portions we used to receive.
