My expectations for Little Arthur’s were sky-high — and it still managed to surpass them.
We ordered a pepperoni pizza and a cooper sharp cheesesteak. The cheesesteak was, without a doubt, the best I’ve ever had. Not just in Denver, but anywhere. The freshly made sesame seed roll was fantastic and the ratio of meat to cheese was perfect. The chef came to our table and let us know the pizza was going to come out about 10 minutes late because they overcooked the first one, which was no big deal to us. He came back around a few minutes later with a complimentary pepperoncini wedge salad, which was a very nice gesture. The salad was bomb by the way, very garlicky and creamy, and the addition of bread crumbs made from the leftover sesame seed rolls added a great textural component. Lastly, the pizza came out and I could tell just by looking at it that it was going to be great. The quality of ingredients really stuck out here—the tomato sauce tasted simple and fresh, the mozzarella was delicious, and the crust was on point. It had almost no flop, despite the slices being huge. It was crunchy with just the right amount of char and chew. Unquestionably a top-5 pizza in Denver.
I’ve seen quite a few people complain about the prices here, but we found those concerns to be overblown. At face value, it seems expensive, but the portions are huge. The cheesesteak is big enough to share, unless you’re very hungry. The pizza is massive and would comfortably feed four. We spent $68 with tip, but it is going to end up being two meals for my wife and I. For this quality of food, that’s absolutely worth the price tag.
Absolutely fantastic, we’ll be back soon to show some friends. I’m also dying to try the whiz wit now that I’ve had the...
Read moreAJ's pizzas are fantastic. Thin, crispy, the flavors are above and beyond for even the most simple pie.
The cheese steak is perfect. Melt in your mouth, flavor-explosion, comfort food. The bread is homemade every day. It's the only good semolina roll I've found in Denver.
Specials are always great. Meatball, provolone, broccoli rabe hoagie was amazing.
Do not miss the desserts. Get a salad. Everything is special here.
AJ is super personable and his staff is great. When you get to know him, he makes you feel like you're his cousin. The food is east coast comfort food to me. It's spot on. It's not cheap but it's worth the money. AJ pours his heart and soul into this and doesn't skimp on ingredient quality or his staff. Kudos to fighting the good fight and I'll always pay extra for that soul.
The bar itself that this place is in isn't my favorite. It's a little tight and always crowded. Beers aren't great either. I come for Little Arthurs.

Read moreI'll admit- I'm a hater when it comes to NY style pizza in Colorado. Most of the time- I think its just ok. Little Arthurs is the first exception. The cheese pizza was excellent. Crispy with perfect ratios of cheese and sauce. No flop here! $28 for a pie that can easily feed 4 adults. 1 slice will fill you up - but you'll eat a second because it's so goddamn good. The eggplant parm hero was fire. Delicious sweet fried and crispy eggplant with fresh mozzarella on a fresh sesame bun. Yes! Yes! Yes! I can't wait to go back and try the philly cheesesteak out chopped cheese sandwich. To top it all off - the service was great. Food took a little long during busy time - but - i don't mind waiting for such a delightful meal. My only complaint is that the taproom is a bit small so seating is limited. Get there early and enjoy what I believe to be the best nyc style pizza in co. Get an eggplant parm hero as well - you won't regret it! Keep up the great work team...
