I come here almost every day with my girlfriend and absolutely love Maci. I tell my friends, tell my family, tell strangers on the street, Maci has my heart and nobody will ever take it from them. My 11 year old future brother in law will be flying across the US just to give Maci a try after hearing me talk about it so much.
My favorites are the Spicado for breakfast or the Hurry for a quick bite. Both are delicious and I could never pick a #1. You really canāt go wrong with unique recipes and high quality ingredients.
I love the staff, theyāre friendly and funny and you can tell they work really hard. This is a classic local small business that is doing everything they can to serve good food and drink and take care of the neighborhood. I would let these kind folks, but never make them, watch my children (if I had any). Good humans.
The only thing I donāt love about Maci is that itās been closed on Tuesdays, which is tough because I really miss them on Tuesdays and occasionally walk by the store to see if they just might surprise.
Needless to say, I
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been to this place 5 times and due to the high rating I kept thinking I was having one off bad experiences. I have reasonable expectations for a small coffee shop. Every time had been either bad or at least a little off putting. Most times employees have seemed rushed and were rude. Twice when I walked in I was rudely yelled at to leave and only one person in at a time due to social distancing. I understand the limit but itās difficult to see how many people are in there and rudely yelling is unnecessary. The food is bad and takes FOREVER! It appears they literally just microwave their breakfast sandwiches and burritos and it TAKES no less that 15 minutes for them to make it. My āthe usualā breakfast sandwich was like half an egg, about a millimeter of ham in a hamburger bun. Breakfast burritos are small and are hot like lava from the microwave. The coffee is fine but also takes like twice the amount of time other coffee shops take to make. End of day, Iām shocked by the good rating because there are many superior coffee...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNot many "dairy free" cheese options or vegan stuff. I personally am not vegan and do eat fish and eggs although have dairy issues. Staff was helpful in substituting avacodo for cream cheese on my bagel.
The everything bagel was wonderful with lots of the everything on it! I felt a little rushed standing there trying to figure out how to order from the menu with my specific "no dairy" needs. The biggest win for me was in the smallest detail, a napkin in my brown bag with the sandwich. To go eatary places don't seem to do the napkin anymore. I often get messy eating and have no cloth to wipe my hands afterwards. These guys had a fancy napkin with rainbows, stars, and stuff. Kind of over the top for me but possibly not for the transgendered person eating there this morning. I just enjoyed the presumption of my needing a napkin and later when it was so having that with my order.
If you are interested personally I find Miyoko's vegan cream cheese to...
