12/20/21-Gave this place another try, mostly due too so little food options being open between semesters. The egg was not only easy, some of the whites were still raw. They seem to be cooking them at to high of a temperature, because when the outside is burnt they think the inside is done when it is not. They either need to turn down the heat a little or get a cook that can tell when the egg is actually cooked.
10/11/21 First, as a normal restaurant this place is a little over priced for the quality of the food. Secondly, there is no reason a restaurant on a college campus should charge more the $10 for food on their menu. They are way over charging college students. This is a problem at the student center since McDonalds and Taco Bell left. Back to the quality of the food. The veggies were massively over cooked. Look at my picture of the corn. Corn should never be that color. The chicken katsu tasted good, but it was dried out and they hardly gave any of the sauce that could have helped. Just over all disappointed...
Read moreI've physically been to this location multiple times and have been left satisfied once.
This most recent time, I called them, a nice but anxious sounding woman answered. I asked if I'd be able to order the spam musubi and she said I'd have to come in to order. Since they were open for orders I came in, asked for the spam musubi and 1 can of aloha and the same woman from the phone answered that they don't serve spam musubi on Fridays... Somehow the spammy eggs were available, but the same spam couldn't be put onto a rice mold for the musubi shape? They were not busy and no one was waiting at the time, so I had to frown a bit and wonder why didn't she tell me it wasn't available over the phone to save me a trip?
This was the straw that broke the Camel's back for me. When they do decide to provide a good service it is fast and tasty, as I can say from 1 of 5 times trying to come to this place. If you're reading this, I hope your experience is...
Read moreThis spot was a very pleasant surprise when i returned to class on campus downtown. It’s located in the always nice Tivoli student center but is open to all public during normal hours. I eat here about 2-3 times a week as it is the most affordable and best quality food around here. Even the bar upstairs can’t compare. The owners are also very nice people and down to earth! Both of the bosses always wave as a pass by. It truly feels like a mom and pop shop unlike most things downtown. I love the loco moco and spam and eggs for brunch. They have sushi made in-house not ordered in from somewhere and they also have spam masubi (sp?) which is similar to a sushi roll but with grilled spam and a tasty sauce on top. I hope the campus keep them around as most here are happy with the food and service! Thanks guys for being a...
