Quick summary: Don't order delivery from them. Worst service imaginable.
If I could I would give this location no stars. The location on champa downtown is amazing! I have ordered delivery from this location many times and have never had any problems. I work in the service industry and have worked as a delivery driver myself, so I understand how it works very intimately. This last time I tried to order I was hung up on when they said they were putting me on hold, and then, when I wasn't hung up on, I was on hold for 10 minutes. As I said, I work in the industry so I understand that they might have a new person on phones, are probably really busy (given by the wait), and are doing the best they can to serve their customers. All could easily have been forgiven until when we asked to order for delivery and gave them the address and was told, "that's out of our area." and when I reminded them that they have delivered to us many times in the past they said, "we still don't delivery there." I couldn't follow such bad logic so I asked to speak to a manager, maybe this person was just new and didn't get how it works. When I told the manager of the situation and that I have ordered from them many times, his response was, "well it was nice of us to deliver to you." WHAT!?! Yes, those are his exact words. To clarify. I live on Colorado Blvd, no more than a 15 minute drive from them with heavy traffic. The end of their delivery range to the east is Colorado Blvd. So, given that I have ordered from them, and never been told I was out of range, more than two dozen times, and that I live on the last street they say they will deliver to, none of this should have happened. To add insult to injury, the manager himself stated that the end of their delivery range is Colorado Blvd....my address IS Colorado Blvd! But wait, there's more! He continued by saying that, "it is really busy right now." one of the most rude things that has ever happened to me. Seriously unbelievable that you would make an excuse like that after saying that I should be thankful that they have been willing to serve me in the past. After I told him that I work in the industry and have been a driver he ever so graciously (not) offered to make the delivery but that the wait would be an hour and 45 minutes. A tip for the future Snarf's, LEAD WITH THAT! The trick to getting someone to not ordering with you when you are busy and when they are at the edge, but inside, your delivery range is to say you will deliver but give them an ungodly time estimate. That would give me the choice of if I would want to do it without you having to let your COMPLETE LACK IN SERVICE...
Read moreI love Snarfs and due to pandemic, it had been a long time since I had eaten at one. This store in particular has been my worse experience. First I called to place an order over telephone, placed my order (so I wouldn’t have to wait long due to COVID), and person said I could pay when I went in. I go in, and there are like 3 other people waiting. I told her I was there to pick up, she looked for my name, it wasn’t ready so she told me to have a seat and she would call me when it was ready. I watched the 3 other people obtain their orders and leave and another person after me obtain their order. Then finally someone asked me my name and realized I hadn’t paid for my order and because of that apparently no one had even started making my order. No one ever mentioned you had to pay as soon as you walk in, to get your sandwiches made. And the girl who asked my name never followed up with the sandwich makers to see where my order was or what was taking so long. I was not offered a bag or given a receipt. The sandwiches themselves were good. Prior I had gone in and they honored my free birthday sandwich even though my coupon expired. Which was really nice. Then I tried again to call ahead and order (trying to be COVID safe) and this time pay over the phone. But at 1pm, no one was answering the phone. So I gave up and decided to just walk in and order. When I walked in, after no one would answer the phone, there was only one customer in restaurant eating (already had food) a female at the register ready to take my order and 4 guys (employees) in the corner talking. I guess that’s why they couldn’t answer the phone. Surprisingly it still took a while to prepare my order even though I was the first one to place an order (while it was empty). This time when my order was ready, the sandwiches were in a bag with a receipt. None of the employees wore masks and there was no hand sanitizer anywhere. All the men had some type of beard, gotee or mustache (one with full beard) and no hair nets of any type. One of my sandwiches was a tuna. The sandwich was only a 7 inch but it was so saturated with tuna, I couldn’t finish it and had a stomach ache the...
Read moreMy roommate has been raving about this place for the past month. I decided we should finally go check it out. It's nestled in Capital Hill in Denver, Colorado on 12 the Ave..
As we walked up the street and I glanced up I noticed the sign posted on the outside of the building. It was very trendy and sported a fun appearance. It made me feel kinda giddy as if this was going to be a fun adventure my roommate had the look on his face like a little kid going to the amusement park.
Walking inside there was the ambiance alternative music flowing through the air. As I glanced around the bright and vivid colored room I noticed several very cool upscale dressed customers. All whom were laughing and carrying on having a great time. For such a cold snowy morning it made me smile.
There were posters all over the walls and windows supporting musical talent from the Filmore and the Ogden which are.classic concert venues located a few blocks north on Colfax Avenue
The menu is bright colored and the choices vary from avacado and veggi subs to New York strip steak. I seteled for the Prime Time (prime rib and provalone) with all the fixings. They offer various bread types all home baked and the aromas that flow through this place are absolutely wonderful!! The offer regular sized 7" and large 12" (I chose the 12")
The employees were all laughing and horsing around and seemed to be enjoying their afternoon.
As I unrolled the wrapping paper on my Prime Time sub sandwich I knew it was going to be half now and half for supper and I was right about that. Boy was it good! Shaun (my roommate was correct and I have to agree with him %200). Snarf's also offer a serve yourself drink bar so refills were unlimited.
As I finished half of my sandwich I felt content. I walked around and looked at some pictures. I realized that Snarf's isn't the first. Their sister restaurant is called The Shack and is located in Boulder Colorado. Not being from Boulder I had no idea. The restrooms were clean and all in all I loved it and...
