I went to Stoney’s Uptown Joint to watch the Detroit Lions vs. San Francisco 49ers game, and let me tell you, it was one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve had in a long time.

I grabbed some food and a Pepsi during halftime and tipped $3.50, but even though I was paying for my stuff, I was asked to leave. I’m homeless, but I’m clean and just trying to watch the game like everyone else. It felt like I was asked to leave just because of that.

So, I stepped outside to watch the game through the window, but then they told me I couldn’t even stand on the sidewalk to do that. Seriously? I wasn’t being disruptive—I just wanted to enjoy the game. I was asked to leave three times, but I stuck it out, defiant, and watched the game through the cold until the end. I wasn’t leaving until the Lions won—and they did, with a final score of 40-34!

The Lions winning was definitely the highlight of my day, but it’s hard to shake how poorly I was treated during the experience. I believe in kindness, and I tipped $3.50, but I still wasn’t shown any in return. It’s honestly really frustrating to be treated this way when all I was doing was trying to enjoy the game. No one should be treated like this, no matter their situation.

A public apology and a free meal, along with a Pepsi (I don’t drink alcohol, so that would be perfect), would go a long way, and I would definitely consider changing my review from one star to five, given how I was treated tonight. I really hope the management takes a look at how they handle situations like this and makes sure no one else has to...

This is decent sister store. A few differences to adjust for. If you're use to the Stones on Lincoln. What is the same, is great service! stoney's has always been good about having efficient reliable and relatable servers that can handle a rush. One of the differences is you'll want to get to this location a lot earlier for wing night! The trivia crowd is no joke and you'll want to beat them there. If you're trying to eat some decent wings? This is definitely one of my favorite wing nights in Denver. Always tasty, meaty bone in wings. I hate it when you go to a wing night and they give you triple cooked tiny pheasant jerky on deep fat fried bones covered in sugar and Frank's sauce. These are actually juicy with thick rich sauces that keep you coming back for more. But like I said they're is too much of a crowd after 6:30 and it becomes a real shiteshow after 7. so if you show up late for wing night I wouldn't be in a hurry or too hungry cuz you're not going to get that many orders until after everything dies down and then only have a few minutes till it's over. Same thing with the bar. Order more than 1 at a time if I were you 😊. Don't forget all the money you're saving on a sweet deal doesn't mean to stiff your server! Break them off a little extra, wing nights are akin to surviving Nam with hot sauce and moist...

I feel completely disgruntled after my experience getting delivery here.

I spent roughly $60 for 27 wings, and as is usual, i was directed to select the wing flavor as well as any side condiments. When these arrived, the wing flavor were in the same containers as the side condiments, and certainly not enough for as many wings I recieved. A personal expectation was always that the flavor would be on the wing. Maybe its an issue of mess during delivery, but even so, when i was provided the wrong requested flavor (it tasted like sweet qnd sour, not nashville hot) and not given enough for what I ordered, kinda felt like a slap in the face.

The wings were overcooked and very clearly had been cooked in old, dirty oil. I didnt have more than a serving of these, and Im having horrible digestive trouble this morning. Not to be dramatic, but if I end up having to go to urgent care today, Im blaming thw wings tbh.

Given the reviews here maybe they just had a bad day, but I dont feel I should have had to be the butt of it. At least use clean oil. I'll be calling my bank to have this charge blocked because I cant get ahold of them, and am disappointed to say I dont intend to order food...

I was worried this wouldn’t be a good rendition of a Nashville hot sandwich, but it ended up exceeding my expectations. I’ve been trying fried chicken sandwiches in the area, and so far this has to be the leading contender. The bun was great, super well toasted, really crispy in some areas, flavorful, lots of pickles, and the breading and coating on the patty was outstanding. Super crispy, lightly sweet, very spicy, all of the ingredients complimented each other well. My only complaint is that there was no Mayo on the sandwich, but I added some myself and it was great. I will definitely be coming back, these guys have a great sandwich at a great price—$12. Some other places in the area are charging upwards of $15 for sandwiches that don’t compare to this one. Honestly kind of want to go back and get another right now but I’m very full from the last one and know that would be a bad idea.
