I really wanted to like this place. The mussels were delicious and the patio was great. Unfortunately there were a lot of issues. I order a salad with ranch which came already covered in a vinaigrette wish a side of ranch. They corrected that quickly. The main issue we had was there was no dip for the French dip. It was delicious but the amount of the au jus was laughable. We were sharing and asked for a second cup. We asked five times. Finally they brought a second which was even more laughable. I was able to dip my cold half of my sandwich twice before the bowl was dry. I asked again and again and again. Everyone was done eating and I was still waiting for the dip portion of the sandwich. After asking three different people, they finally brought out a third bowl that was half oil which made me sick. I’ve been sick for three days. And when the bill came they charged me for extra au jus. Maybe list it as a roast beef sandwich? Their attitudes were not great about it. I wasn’t asking for a lot, just what I ordered. I will not be going back or recommending this place to anyone who doesn’t want to pay extra for what they should have gotten or who doesn’t want to be tied to a toilet for three...
Read moreWe had a great time this afternoon at Dew Drop Inn! The wife and I were in the neighborhood and thought we would do mid- afternoon drinks and dinner here. The vibe is great, total neighborhood atmosphere. My Manhattan was excellent, and my wife had a cocktail with cucumber vodka and it was really good, too.
The food was all excellent. Our mixed greens salad did not sound too exciting but it was mixed with a really good blue cheese dressing. The shoestring fries are perfect, exactly what I want out of a fry. But the standouts were the Bangkok mussels and Lamby Joe sliders! We used to eat at Jonesy’s Eat Bar, which was our favorite spot on 20th Street. It closed years ago, but they had Lamby Joe sliders and Thai curry mussels just like these. I’m not sure if this is the same chef but these are so good and tasty here at dew drop inn.
This place is awesome! Great service, laid-back atmosphere, good music playing overhead, great food. Exactly what an elevated neighborhood bar should...
Read moreI have given each of the the Food, Service and Atmosphere categories 4/5 stars but a 1-star overall for our visit on Aug. 8, 2023. Our visit was ruined by an unprofessional encounter with staff. We (4 of us) arrived at 4:05 PM and were the only customers on the patio and there were maybe only a couple of other customers in the restaurant. No one else was seated on the patio until perhaps 4:30. We paid our bill at 5:40 PM according to the receipt. Our bill was over $150 in food & cocktails and we tipped 20%+. Shortly after paying the bill, close to 6:00 PM, we were approached by someone (perhaps a manager) and told that there were people with "reservations" (no one appeared to be waiting) and that we had to vacate the table. We were given no prior heads-up but rather summarily dismissed like school children. This is a nice (not cheap) restaurant but there are too many other equally good places in Denver where they know how to treat and value their customers. We will...
