If i could leave 0 stars, I absolutely would. As someone who's worked in customer service off & on in my life, as well as Sonic in my teen years, I'm one to be understanding & show grace in customer service. However, my family & I while wrapping up our last night of vacation- & had the most awful experience with this Sonic, that I have ever experienced in my life. We pulled in around 9:30 pm & after pulling in & backing out of several "out of order stalls" We finally found one that worked. Submitted our order on the app & at the stall we parked at: 3 drinks only. Waited for awhile, screen said someone was coming with our order. Noone ever came. After about 15-20 min, (the place was not busy , no cars in drive thru, 80 percent of stalls were "down.") My husband pushed the button several times, NO response. He then called the store- they hung up on him. After waiting alittle longer , we finally drove through the drive thru where we thinking someone would just be able to make our drinks & we could go on. ( We would have just left all together at this point,) but the app already charged us, my 5 year old was thirsy, & we were looking for drinks to take back for the evening . On pulling up to the drive thru window, there were two female workers that just glanced at us several times looking annoyed, no acknowledgment otherwise. Finally, I believe one girl was taking an order on the headset or something & she finally opened the window. We explained we had an app order at the stall #, & the whole situation & she was super quick to say "we can't make your order" mumbled ice/ice cream machine down. Husband said we had no ice cream on our order & she rudely repeated we just can't do it, we cant make your order. My husband said our 3 drink order?( Mind you, another girl was making drinks behind her.) The windown girl had already wrote us off way before & mentioned getting a manager & walked off. Her manager came to the window a few mins later. Not a nice approach at all. He flung the window opened was very unprofessional didn't let us talk, & yelled, inappropriately insert of words, as he says- "I already told them, & to tell you, multiple times, WE CAN'T MAKE YOUR ORDER!!!!! Didn't even give us a chance to talk or any explanation at all as he slammed the window with such a hostile attitude & locked it, with a terrible look on his face. My kids in the car were confused (& of course thirsty) I pulled up my app & seen we were still charged for the order . Husband knocks on window for several mins, to figure out whats going on , (as drinks were being made inside. ) Manager comes back & husband asked- Why he was so being rude/ a jerk to him & to figure out why there was such an issue on 3 drinks, & why they couldn't be made ? At this point we are beyond upset/confused & wasted our drive/time there. And the so called manager wanted to continue to be a serious " jerk." He opened the window again, I had my phone in my hand..Was about in the process of calling sonic (the number on my email reciept -for a solution) & he proceeded to yell across at me ( as I'm in the passenger seat) telling me- I'm not allowed to record anything on my phone on private property. Then sarcastically politely -asked my husband what he wanted, & then tried to cover up his actions with he assumed we were door dash. Beyond frustrated-We drove off at this point. I have never experienced such hostile , unprofessional, rude customer service from any Sonic like this.( Especially coming from a so called manager.) Absolutely very uncalled for behavior from someone running a business.
This Sonic needs to rethink their choices on who they hire/ have working for them, running the store. Or close it down till it's able to be ran better. My guess this isn't the first time this guy has acted this way.

The last time I made the mistake of being a patron here, I waited 25 minutes for my order (two meals) with 1 other vehicle at and order station (who only ordered drinks), and an empty drive though. On top of that, the crewmember who brought my (extremely cold) food demanded a second payment of my total (while holding the receipt showing I had already paid), and gave me a dirty look and asked 'What did you just say to me?' when I said 'thank you'd for bringing my order. The time before that, I waited at an order station for over 12 minutes (after pressing the button, of course) without being acknowledged as other customers pulled into other order stations and were acknowledged immediately. Thinking the station I parked at was broken, I waited in line at the drive-thru for several minutes, only to be met with another full 12 minutes of silence upon pulling up to the speaker. Two other vehicles behind me in line tired of waiting and pulled out of line before I did. When I got fed up and drobe off, the crewmember at the window finally acknowledged me: with a scowl. Don't bother with the Destin Sonic. Until they fully replace their current staff, you'll get better service and quality at the Burger King down the highway that closed four months ago.
(That said, the Sonic establishments in Fort Walton Beach, Shalimar, and Defuniak Springs are superb. Awesome, prompt service, great, hot food all prepared with the quality promised by the fast food giant, and not one dirty look served...

I could hear her talking to someone, and was very rude to them. After finally placing my order and getting my total I pull up to the window and begin to wait. While waiting 2 other cars pull up and place there orders and pull behind me. We waited for almost 5 minutes with no one greeting us, letting us know anything. The GM walked up to the window twice in five minutes! I saw our drinks be made and left to water down at the window. The same young lady that made our drinks made herself a drink and touched her face, her hair, and her mic. She was not wearing anything resembling protection. Her GM was in the same stare touching his phone and other items on the counter. What sealed this horrible experience was the lack of communication, when the same rude young lady made another set of drinks after ours, again with no gloves or anything else, walked out of the door, gave those drinks to the car behind us and the placed the money given in her check book, walked back inside and immediately started making another set of drinks. She stuck her hand into ice bin, no gloves and no ice scoop, and her GM watched her do it. And said nothing! All around, not good. This is a health department call...
