This is the most beautiful Panera I have ever been in - but everyone there seemed upset. I ordered on the kiosk because there was a bit of a line. I ordered a Southwest Cesar Salad with Chicken and the kiosk said they didn't have romaine lettuce but allowed me to order it anyway. I paid and started my wait.
Not even kidding - 40 mins later I was walking out with a full refund but no food at all. Turns out the kiosk will let you order but when they get it in the back to make a salad (30 mins after ordering) I was told they were going to make it without the lettuce. What is a salad without lettuce? Here is the description - imagine this without romaine...
Chicken raised without antibiotics, romaine, fresh avocado and cilantro, grated Parmesan and Caesar dressing, drizzled with chipotle aioli and topped with blue corn tortilla strips.
They were planning on giving me a bowl with chicken, avocado and dressing - which wouldn't have been all bad...but when paying $13 for a salad that would have been pretty bad.
No employee said anything to anyone else in the store - everyone needed a refund. When the "manager" said it wasn't their fault and blamed the kiosk, I said well why don't you at the very least up a sign up letting people know you don't have lettuce? She stopped working on my refund to call someone from the back to "bring me some paper and a pen right now". She then, in front of me...before working on my refund, created a sign to hang in the window and had the other employee hand it up.
What could be worse? I get a survey email asking about my experience. I don't usually fill them out but I wanted someone to know how poor the whole situation was at the store. Here is the response I received:
We always aim to offer the very best food and service, but based on your recent feedback, we clearly missed the mark this time. Thank you for sharing details about your experience. We understand it’s frustrating when you don’t get exactly what you ordered. Your feedback has been shared with the cafe team and is very important to them. On behalf of the entire Panera team, we apologize and hope you’ll give us another try.
Let me assure you I will NEVER go back to this location! And as for "frustrating when you don’t get exactly what you ordered" -- I never received any food or any update until I asked the person make the salad-not-salad in the back.
Very long story short - there are lots of options in this shopping center...eat...
Read moreUnfortunately my last visit to Panera was to this location and what a horrible experience! I don’t know where to start.
The bread used on my Bacon Turkey Bravo was not allowed to rise properly before baking so it was a very dense and unenjoyable bread. It was so terrible that I had thought they accidentally used the wrong bread, but no it turns out the bakers at this place are just unmistakably terrible.
My fiancé ordered a salad which was not terrible, it had only been made with the wrong dressing. When we asked to have it fixed they simply put fresh greens on top in a larger bowl with the correct dressing on top of the original incorrect dressing. Pretty sad service!
The cost for 2 meals and a couple extras cost us $50+ which ordinarily wouldn’t be a problem, but with such terrible food and service we’d expect to pay a price that is more likely to align with the cost of a couple McDonald’s meals. Fortunately we’ve had poor service with enough food service that we no longer tip 20% up front for fast food, we only tipped $2 and that was more than sufficient for the food we received.
Lastly because I don’t want to leave a bad review without a positive suggestion I’ll provide an idea. Maybe a way to improve tips, food, and the service would be to figure out a way to charge folks after they eat so we can tip in accordance with the food/service received. This would definitely serve as incentive for Panera employees to provide the best food/service possible! Going forward I will never tip a dime at this location until I’ve received and ate my food and the tip will be based off service and...
Read moreWas looking forward to it opening. First time, I ordered a sandwich (very small,) soup (very small), salad, and drink. Left hungry after spending $40. Panera certainly does not give hearty portions. Albeit, the food is very good for fast food, but pricey. A few weeks later, I gave Panera another try with breakfast. Average sized sandwich, fruit cup and fountain drink. Over $20.00 plus more with tip. Again, food was great, but pricey (i.e. $3.99 for a small/medium fountain drink). Decor is cold blue modern. If you are into modern, you will love it. Even with a fireplace, the decor still makes it feel cold. Also, typical franchise store. One size fit all building. In a beautiful setting, the main windows face the back of a house instead of the spectacular views of the area. The food is great, but if you are hungry, be prepared to pay quite a bit. New restaurant so still working out logistics issues. I've lived in Summit County for more than 7 years and if Panera does not adjust its business model for up here, it will have a difficult time surviving.
Back again Spring 2024. Walked in for breakfast. Was cold inside. Said good morning to the young lady behind the counter. She didn't respond and walked away.Later I noticed she had ear buds in her ear listening to music. A nice gentleman came to the counter. I ordered a sandwich and a small iced tea ....$20.00. I live up here and have given this Panera 4 tries....All bad or below average. Exceptionally poor management. I'll be surprised if it is still in business at the end of...
