While this bar attracts bands and entertainment, it's really nothing more than your typical dive bar but in a good location (and I mean dive not in the retro sense, but just uncaring and unresponsive staff).
To add on to our experience as 'out-of-towner' guests, I managed to drop my ID from my shorts, and promptly called the business the following day. They confirmed they had my ID "and 60 others" and said they would contact the manager/owner to see if it would be OK to ship the ID to address/name listed on the card. After an additional 2 days, I spoke with a college bro who said "hey dude, I'm busy, but the owner/manager said he shipped it out, and sorry I only work here one day a week." So, after writing this review, I can say that 3 weeks have passed since the confirmation of shipment and no drivers license (ID) has arrived (as well as at least 10+ calls, many of which go to voicemail). While I would love to pick it up in house, I do not live in Colorado.
The way the management/owners run this business is in line with how college/frat parties are conducted. These 'bros' as I would phrase them really don't deserve the business of Durango's locals and its visiting guests. Durango is a fantastic city, and this establishment doesn't deserve a...
Read moreMy wife and I were visiting our son and his fiancée and came here for lunch on a Friday. It is located on the main downtown street and, you guessed it, is an upstairs establishment. It was a hot day, even at a table under an umbrella. It was busy.

A burger, two shrimp dishes, and a chicken sandwich(me) were ordered. The food took unusually long to come out. My wife did not think that she received enough shrimp but enjoyed them. I liked my sandwich and the fries were nicely seasoned and crispy.
Though the table area and bar is not that large, they have a stage for live music. I recommend Balcony...

Finally, my sister-in-law approached the woman behind the bar and asked if we should place our orders there at the bar. She sullenly said ," We have table service". We sat back down again and waited some more, still being utterly ignored. Finally, we got up and left. On the way out , I told one of these so called servers that it was the rudest place I had ever been in. What did she do? She laughed. Please spare yourselves. ...
