Lola’s Place — Restaurant in Durango

It took 30 min to get my bacon cheese burger and fries, someone who walked up about 15ish min AFTER we ordered got her cheese burger before I did. To give them the benefit of the doubt they did say that they ran out of protein and they were unaware. Not sure how that works when two people (my mom and the other customer I mentioned before) who ordered after me got their cheeseburgers before I did. My mom's burger came with nothing on it but the burger cheese and bun even though the menu says it should come lettuce, tomato, and grilled onions (when mine finally came it had all these things possibly due to my mom complaining about her burger) the fries (pictured) cost $5. I felt this was worth mentioning due to the small amount of fries.

We were also offered a refund for my burger taking so long but only got it after going back up to talk to the person who took our order again.

The saving graces are that the burger was delicious. However I don't think it was worth the wait. And the wait staff was super kind and...

Yum! Fast food that’s AWESOME! Support local business. Great outdoor patio dining area and bar. Went a second time in June 2025 and, unfortunately, have revised my food review. Food was meh, sadly. The good news is the outdoor patio dining area is quite pleasant. Staff are professional and kind. In summer, being able to bring along in my 18 lb. dog on a leash onto patio rather than locked in a hot car is much appreciated. Dog owners keep pup on leash under control at the table. We had breakfast burritos filled mostly with unseasoned white rice and not many other ingredients, diluted green chili sauce smothered it— all quite opposite of my previous experience when the food was delicious and a good portion size. Customers order food and bar drinks at outdoor booth or bar. Self-serve water station (including water bowls for dogs👍). Servers bring food to table. Customers bus their own tables and get their own drinks. A post-pandemic scenario Limited staff and service at table but works. Bummer the food...

100% DO NOT RECOMMEND. I JUST PAID $19 EACH FOR TWO OF THE MOST UNDERWHELMING, BLAND, AND SMALLEST BURRITO BOWLS (we added fish, but i could hardly find any). WHEN WE ASKED A SERVER, NO, THERE WAS NO SERVER, OUR FOOD RUNNER, FOR CHIPS AND SALSA TO MAKE UP FOR THE SMALL PORTION WE WERE TOLD TO ASK THE BARTENDERS. I WISH I HAD TAKEN A PHOTO. MOST OF THIS LACKLUSTER DISH HAD TO HAVE FALLEN ON THE FLOOR ON THE WAY TO OUR TABLE. THE SMALL BOWL WAS HARDLY A THIRD FULL. WITH A TIP (UNDESERVED) AND MINERAL WATERS (2x $5 = $10) OUR TOTAL WAS ALMOST $60. INCREDIBLE! SUCH A RIP OFF. IF I WASNT THERE ON BUSINESS AND IN A HURRY I WOULD HAVE SENT THIS BACK AND ASKED FOR THE MGMT. I don't typically leave a review, but this was the 3rd disappointing visit, and likely my last. There are PLENTY of Mexican joints in Durango...do better Lola's or you...
