We have spent our summers in Durango for six years now. Despite telling ourselves we needed to try this place, we only just tried it today. I have to say, the food was delicious! We had the ham, Gruyere , and tomato crepe and the chocolate hazelnut crepe. Both were super delicious. Prices are high, but I imagine rent in downtown Durango is not cheap. Considering the crepes are big enough to split, the prices are not prohibitive.
As a side note, I can’t believe the people who rate this place with 1 star claiming the owner was rude to them because he asked them to move from his seating area because they were not customers. The only person being rude were the people who thought it was okay to sit there. Not sure why they think this was any different than them buying food at McDonalds and taking it in a different restaurant to eat. The entitlement attitude of...
Read moreAbout 2 weeks ago, my wife and I visited Durango for 3 days to celebrate our anniversary. We try to make get out there from Denver once a year. Of all the restaurants in Durango, Michel’s Corner Crepe cart literally stands alone. If you’re looking for the most beautifully prepared, most delicious breakfast/lunch you’ve ever had, you have to walk over and visit Michel.. All the way from France, as he prepares his creations, he will pick fresh herbs right off out of the little garden surrounding the seating area on the corner of about 6th and Main st. There are so many different kinds of delicious crepes, that it’s hard to decide which one to try first, and you’ll definitely want to try as many as you can while you’re there. Thank you for the best food and conversation while we were in town, and we’ll definitely be coming back to see you...
Read moreWhat a gem! Looking for a quick bite to eat on a Saturday morning while in Durango and the closest local bagel shop was too full. Popped around the corner and found Michel's and couldn't have been happier. Situated on a well landscaped and cared for garden corner courtyard on Main and College - the little cart pumped out some incredible crepes that are prepared with such care. We enjoyed our crepes under a shade umbrella with a beautiful Colorado breeze blowing. I could tell Michel takes great pride in his culinary skill and checked in to make sure we were enjoying the crepes. We had the egg, spinach and feta plus the egg, manzaga sausage and green chili - both were incredible. I would highly recommend a breakfast or lunch while in Durango or...
