Papi’s tacos and more — Restaurant in Elizabethtown

This is long but important if you care about ethics and fair business practices. TL;DR, Papi's is legitimately lying to their customers and ripping them off at a 1:3 ratio.

Ordered carryout for two, added a 12oz cup of queso $4.50 or so extra (no chips included). Got home with the food and it was very obviously a 4oz cup of queso. so I drove the 2 miles back to the restaurant to point out what happened. Manager/shift lead insisted to me that it was 12oz and that they had changed the style of cup that the queso comes in. They even showed me 2oz cup that they claimed was 4oz and then showed me a different sized lid that they claimed was from their older 12oz cups. I knew I was being lied to but I left.

I got home, went straight to the kitchen, and grabbed an 8oz Pyrex measuring cup from the cabinet and dumped the "12oz cup" of queso into the Pyrex cup. To the surprise of no one, the queso filled to about the 4oz line. I took my Pyrex cup and their "12oz cup" back to the restaurant and was immediately met with pushback. I told the guy I knew he was lying to me the first time and the proof was before him. He still tried to lie about the capacity of the cup. I told him if he could pour 12oz in the cup I would give him $100 and he said he needed to call his boss to see if he could make it right. Being my first visit to this establishment, I started simple. Their menu is huge btw! Honestly, it was a bit overwhelming, but the staff was very helpful and knew the menu. The dining area is clean and well lit. They also had multiple tvs so you could watch Hot Ones or a cooking show.

I got the bean and cheese burrito with the verde sauce and the carnitas taco. This was more than enough food since the burrito is massive! The beans and cilantro were fresh and the carnitas were divine! They even had a fresh lime wedge for my taco. 10/10 recommend Pappi’s!

We stopped in here on a Sunday afternoon and there was only one other table in use. When we went to sit at a table three of them were dirty we finally found one that wasn't. I had the tacos. They tasted really good except for the fact that the corn tortilla was not fully cooked. The spicy sauce was very good. My boyfriend had a chimichanga.
