Apparently this restaurant has more than one location and this review was posted on another locations google business, and while I am obviously happy to correct where the review should be, I think folks need to make sure consistency is key in ALL locations. Here is the original review: Wow. Super disappointed with the food I’ve eaten so far in Colorado, but this place beat all the others- hence my review. Read reviews for barbecue near me & this place came up. Spent over $50 on Grubhub for terrible food. I’m really confused at what everyone else has been eating bc I wouldn’t eat this again for free. My ribs were so full of fat I was exasperated trying to find meat to even figure out if the ribs had good flavor. When I did find some meat I was surprised by the lack of bbq flavor, including with the bbq sauce I was given. Doesn’t seem like you get anything other than a “vinegary with a hint of spice” kind of bbq sauce- most def not my favorite kind of sauce. I picked the ribs apart and didn’t think it was appropriate to post pictures but you can see the mess they gave me under the guise of it being brisket. Seriously zero meat just chunks of fat and the fat soaking in oil. The bread I paid extra for reminded me of hamburger buns- I don’t think I tasted anything fancy and only took a couple bites. The cornbread was meh and not anything I wanted more than 1 bite of. The beans and the potato salad were actually edible and decent (surprisingly bc I’m super picky with potato salad)! I wouldn’t order this food for my worst enemy- you...
Read moreWe went to support a friend at their show, we picked up the early show to get more live performance. We showed our IDs and got flagged as not being 21, we sat at our table after getting marked, pretty much the whole time. We drove down from Cheyenne though, so we would go on a walk around the block in-between, we probably went around three times,.that being the amount stated to us by the host when he kicked us out. We weren't given any warning, just told we're 20 and keep going around the block so we're obviously doing something since he couldn't see us. We left without argument but while you had good food, and a mostly friendly staff, a warning for something we didn't even know was wrong would have been a better way to handle a situation of 20 year olds who traveled for almost 2 hours to be sitting down for another 4-5 hours. We were glad to see signs of tranquility, but especially when my friend isn't going to be performing for some time, it was hard to walk out without getting to see their performance. (So be prepared for lack of warning system, but at least you can have some good food before getting kicked out) (in further response, we had tickets for both shows, it was the exact words of you're 20 and waking around the block where we can't see you, you're staff just need to know how to deal with situations like a...
Read morePulled pork: great flavor without the bbq, slaw is also well made, was dog and human approved (he was not messing around with those beans lmfao)
Sweet potato casserole: hot and sweet, has corn flakes on top and to my dismay walnuts (the new guy bless his heart told me with utmost confidence there was no nuts on it, but rest assured I let him know in case someone with an allergy came in and ordered it!)
Baked beans: very peppery, with green chiles or green bell peppers, very nice though.
Drink: made an Arnold Palmer and it tasted off so I tried the tea by itself (and the lemonade which tastes deliciously homemade) and it definitely was a bit sour, like it wasn’t made within the last hour.
Like many bbq joints I have tried in the state of Colorado over the last six months, I do wish there were some other southern sides like cornbread and fried okra or a fry of some kind. I know fried foods are harder bc some places can’t have fryers but they were serving fried chicken so I don’t know. ALSO not a hit to the business or food, but they have no deserts for those who care :)
Staff was also very friendly and helpful, the vibes are pretty cool and unique with a bowling alley in...
