I am writing to file a complaint regarding the unacceptable treatment I received at Giordano’s Pizza in Kissimmee, Florida, near Disney World, during my visit on September 5th, 2025.
The issue I experienced involved the restaurant manager.
We observed the manager, two cashiers, and other staff engaging in conversation for 10–15 minutes while we waited for someone to bus empty plates and refill our water glasses. Meanwhile, our server was busy running between another table and preparing mixed drinks behind the bar. The restaurant was not busy at the time; there was only one other table in our section.
I approached the manager directly to raise this concern. He pointed to the two employees he had been speaking with and said, “they’re cashiers,” as if that explained why none could assist us. He then spent a couple of minutes changing the TV channel, after which our server refilled our waters, apparently reprimanded. We thanked her for her work and made clear our frustration was with the manager, not her.
We requested a beverage refill (waters and one soda), a to-go box, and the bill. Several more minutes passed without these requests being fulfilled. My wife took our 1-year-old to the car while I continued to wait with our 4-year-old. Eventually, I carried my son out and told the manager that the service had been horrible and that I would not pay for it.
Additionally, our food order was incorrect, requiring us to remove toppings so our children would eat it. This lack of basic customer service was unprofessional, disrespectful, and unacceptable.
When I told the manager that I refused to pay and left the restaurant, he followed me to my car and called the police. This occurred in front of my wife and our two children, both under five years old, which made the situation extremely distressing and inappropriate.
The harassment continued in the parking lot. My wife gave the manager her credit card, but he refused to process the payment inside. She was forced to go back inside to pay while the manager blocked our vehicle. After the bill was paid, he still refused to move out of the way of our car unless I apologized.
This treatment is unacceptable for any customer, especially families with young children. I am requesting that Giordano’s Pizza be held accountable for this incident and that steps be taken to ensure other patrons do not experience similar mistreatment.
Thank you for your attention to this...
Read moreOrdered delivery tonight and I was very disappointed. The thin crust pepperoni was bland. The dough was a little thick for a thin crust and tasted like cheap store-bought dough. It could’ve used some crushed red peppers (which I requested, but didn’t receive) and some Italian herbs to give it more flavor, but as we were in a hotel, we didn’t have access to these additives to help.
We also ordered spaghetti with their bolognese sauce which was slightly more flavorful, but not actually tasty. The pasta was more al dente, so I did appreciate that. But that was the only good part of it. Some basil, pepper, and garlic, or even a better tomato sauce would have improved the flavor. But again, stuck in a hotel, we couldn’t add anything to improve it, so we were stuck with disappointment. The portion size was adequate for four people, and there was a fair amount of meat, so we felt that at least the value was there.
The Greek salad was the highlight of our meal. The salad tasted fresh, and had plenty of toppings for the four of us. Romaine lettuce instead of iceberg would’ve been better, but it probably would have cost much more. A more herbal Greek dressing would have been preferred, but the vinaigrette that came with it was perfectly acceptable and tangy. It also had whole blocks of feta which were pleasantly salty and lightly pungent and nicely balanced the salad. The Kalamata olive slices were also good. The thin slivers of red onion, rather than chunks , really mellowed their bite and dropped the spice level, which saddened me, but the rest of my group liked it this way. We ordered the large family size for our pasta and salad and felt that the portions were perfect for four people.
For the amount of food we received, and a sub $80 cost, we felt that it was a good value for four people. But the quality was quite lackluster and we wouldn’t order...
Read moreWe had high expectations but left disappointed. Our server was friendly and we didn't wait very long for him to come to our table. Would've given this review a better rating, but it went downhill from there. Items on the menu are basic (the choices were less than we expected, possibly due to COVID?): a couple of appetizers; a couple of salads; 3 pasta options; and pizza (thin crust, regular, or deep-dish). For the NY pizza lovers: thin crust is REALLY thin and crumbly, saltine-like. The regular crust is more like thin crust. We ordered the Sampler appetizer promptly and mentioned that we had hungry kids; maybe our drinks confused him, or maybe it was because he didn't write anything down, but he forgot it. Our pizzas arrived before the pasta, which was strange since our waiter made a point to ask if we wanted them served at the same time and mentioned that the pizzas take longer to come out of the kitchen. The chicken pesto pizza was actually quite good; the regular cheese pizza was bland. We also ordered Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and broccoli. For $15, I'd expect more than a few tiny slivers of chicken and the scraps/stems of the broccoli. Plus, it was surprisingly bland. Once we'd mentioned that the appetizer never came out, our waiter delivered it as we were finishing up. We all agreed that it was nothing special (cheesy garlic bread, chicken nuggets and fried mozzarella triangles) and were reminiscent of frozen food from the grocery store that were reheated. Sorry, Giordano's! We wanted to like you, but, unfortunately, with so many other dining options, we won't...
