La Puertita at Joe T. Garcia's — Restaurant in Fort Worth

La Puertita is an amazing venue which has been restored with authentic Mexican decor.

On May 18, 2025 my husband and I had a wedding Reception and were assisted by Andrea Ward. The table arrangements were discussed and it was also agreed that round tablecloths would be provided. The tablecloths were dropped off nice and pressed at the main office as instructed.

On the day of the recepcion my Decorator arrived at the venue (La Puertita) to find the table arrangement was not as dicussed, wrinkled tablecloths and no event coordinador. After making a phone call one of the managers showed up with one person as backup.

We had my great aunts celebration of life here. The image is beautiful, quiet, and the perfect size for our intimate but full affair. About 100 people with a buffet and sit down with 10 round tables, and it was perfect. The staff was friendly and attentive but unintrusive. Highly recommend them for any kind of intimate affair. It is a great place to host a event but as far as food I been saying it for years it's trash 🗑 place to drink 🍸 with friends why not but when eating authentic Mexican food there sister restaurant esperanzas has hands down great breakfast food & sweet bread but that's about it. If in doubt, you want Mexican food, Dos Molinas, Betos, Ruby's shoot, even the grocery store el rancho serve better food inside,...
