Update: We have time-stamped pictures, proving that BOTH HOSTESSES WERE NOT EXTREMELY LATE. In fact they were on time for their 9:30pm reservation with Bottle service being brought out at 9:36pm. The hostesses WERE NOT HAPPY WITH HOW MANAGEMENT handle this situation. So let's reflect on who's actually telling the truth here. (See their yelp reviews).

I also find it odd that the only people that you think matters here are the ones the paid and booked the bottle service reservation... Not ALSO their 28 guests that were invited to enjoy this bottle service and celebration as well... But not only that... You didn't mention we still bought your overpriced $10 beer and shots on top of that. And yes, we tried to handle this so it wouldn't ruin the guest of honor and her 2 hostesses night. There was no compensation, no over the top accomodations for not getting the service we paid for by management. The waitress was amazing... Maybe she should be considered for a management position as she definitely knows how to serve a table that PAID an exorbitant amount for it.

Absolutely DO NOT risk making a bottle service reservation at this location. Last night we had a party of 20 with 2 tables reserved. A group of people decided to remove our reserved sign and take one of our tables. We informed management and the manager went over and talked to someone at the table, they chatted laughed, shook hands and the manager walked away. I went and spoke to him again and he said "They won't leave, nothing we can do about it." I spoke with another manager and he walked over, spoke with them and left. I approached him and he said "They aren't going anywhere, sorry nothing we can do." Finally someone spoke to the owner after 2 hours of our party being spread out all over with no space and the owner asked them to move and they said "Were leaving anyway" the man from the group laughed and told us, "You all can clean up all of this" and walked out. I spoke to the management about a partial reimbursement and the manager said, he spoke to the host of the party and that it was all taken care of. (This never happened) We visit this club for all of our family's milestone birthdays and will never be back again. Disgusting lack of customer service. There were zero concessions, partial rebate, a bottle for our troubles. Zilch. Such a sad fall from Grace for a once fun...

It's now conclusive: If you want to dance on the FW side of DFW, Cassidy's is the place to go. Last night at Studio 80 was fun, but it just can't hang with Cassidy's.

Better dance floor - Cassidy's (they have a sand box and the floor is smooth - both floors at 80 were like glue and the back lounge floor is way too small)

Better seating - Studio 80

Better drinks - Tie

Better DJ - Cassidy's, by a mile (the main floor DJ at Studio 80 👎🏻👎🏻, the lounge DJ at Studio 80 👍🏻👍🏻)

Better service - Tie, with a slight edge to Studio 80 (excellent service from everyone)

Better dance crowd - Cassidy's

Better real estate - Studio 80

Better amenities - Studio 80

It really comes down to the DJ, the dance floor, and the crowd. Since this is a review for a dance club, that's how I'm rating it.

At Cassidy's, the crowd knows what they're doing and the DJ knows how to mix it up to make all the demographics happy. If Studio 80 switched DJs and had the back lounge DJ run the main floor, this would be a much different review. The back lounge was jamming, but the dance floor is really small.

If you're someone who wants to get down to "Safety Dance", "I love rock and roll", "Karma Chameleon", "Jack and Diane", and "Livin on a prayer", hit the main floor at Studio 80 and they'll give you all that and more. For people who like to dance, head to the back lounge, or even better, head up 35 to Meacham and go to Cassidy's.

One criticism about the lounge DJ: he'd switch it up after one verse, and he'd do this even when the crowd was into it and singing/rapping along to a banger. Some songs you gotta get all the verses in... But still, song selection in the back was worlds better than the main floor.

One tip for security at Studio 80: don't let people go on the floor with drinks. They spill them and make it stickier than it already is. The Cassidy's security locks that down, but again I think that's because Cassidy's is a more pure dance club where the focus is on dancing.

Service was great and nothing but rave reviews for the staff, but I had to go three stars because I was so disappointed in the main...

Be aware of poor management! We had issues with our pre-booked, prepaid reservation where other guests took our reserved table!

The manager we were talking to that night needed proof of our reservation and for how many people before there was any attempt to resolve our issue and that was only after we demanded some form of compensation. I would think that if you are a venue that allows for reservations and requires FULL payment prior, you would have that information organized. If that were true, I wouldn’t be writing this review, but here we are.

My sister and I cohosted our sister’s 40th birthday party here last Saturday. We reserved our table well in advance with bottle service for 30 people, which was a table on the dance floor as well as the 2 tables behind us. When you reserve a table with bottle service, you are required to pay the full amount to book the spot. Our reservation was for 9:30pm and we were there and seated at our table promptly at 9:30pm. Our waitress, who was great the entire evening by the way, brought out the celebratory bottle and mixers with her colleagues at 9:36pm. Pictures attached with time stamps at the top.

All was well until we noticed one of our tables had a group of people that were not a part of our party so we asked our waitress to inquire. By this time, more of our friends were arriving, and we needed our extra table.

From this point on it was a lot of back and forth between management with a “we can’t do anything about it” attitude. We had my husband and other members of our party handle the issue to avoid a scene and to avoid ruining our sister’s birthday party. It ultimately took at least 2hrs before we got our table back.

We have done several celebrations here including bottle service at each event and we had not encountered this type of unprofessional behavior until now. We politely asked to use our reserved tables and we did so via our waitress and management. We did not interact with the other guests until they were rude to us as they were asked to leave.

We will not return here for any...

Let me start by saying. This place was a trip... I'm a Boston boy born and raised. If you're from Boston and are now a Gen Xer, you know what Lansdowne Street and Kenmore Square was like in the 80's. (Spit, The Ratskellar,(aka "The Rat") Narcissus, and so many others... Well my Wife and I found Studio Eighty in Fort Worth TX recently. In Texas for the birth of our 4th Grandson. We got one night off from watching the other 3 for some dumbfuckery. It was Friday night, ladies night. Ladies got in for free. While I had to wait in a short line to get in, the second I did it was a freakin trip... I was time warped back to the 80s on Lansdowne Street. The music was 80s (dance) rock and disco. After we got our drinks and got our bearings. We couldn't help it... straight to the dance floor. It was a mixed crowd. Kids in their mid 20s all the way up to a couple cougars that looked a few years older than me. (I'm 56). The dance floor was never empty in the 2 hours we lasted out there, while we were there. This DJ was awesome but he also made me laugh with the 80s spiked hair and Mullet. Just simply awesome. If you're ever in Fort Worth Texas, you have to find this place even if you don't dance the music was great, the drinks were decent for the prices. But it was a straight step back in time for a lot of "Dumbfuckery" to be had. But as always, don't take what I have to say. Go try it yourself make your own decisions. But most of all, have fun with friends because that's what its all about. ✌️🤘🤙 Charles. (aka, Tubbyg)
