This is probably my first bad review on Google but I can't just let this one go unnoticed. Can't even comment on the food or drinks because my friend and I were COMPLETELY ignored at this establishment when we visited on 11/30 around 7 pm. I had seen this place before when I went to The Sterling some time ago and thought it looked interesting. Indeed it is, very pretty on the inside with a cool rooftop. We decided to go back downstairs after looking at the rooftop area since it was a bit cold for us. There were only a few people at the bar and another 2 tables who had all been served, overall it was pretty empty. We sat facing the bar while looking at the menu and discussing what pizzas and drinks looked good and not a single person made an attempt to talk to us for the 15 minutes we sat there. Not even a quick stop to say "we will be with you soon" or "you'll have to order at the bar". Nothing. There were at least 3 people (guys) working downstairs that we could see. At some point one of the waitresses left because her shift was done. I even made eye contact with one of the bartenders, still nothing. I started feeling super offended because I've never been treated this way anywhere before. I finally told my friend that I felt like getting up and walking out and she agreed, so after a few more minutes of waiting, that's exactly what we did. I'm not even sure anyone noticed since they didn't make an effort to talk to us before. And if they did, they probably assumed that we didn't like the prices or something else and decided to leave. We took our business to Mi Cocina where despite much busier than The Archibald, we were promptly seated and served. Super disappointed that this happened because I was really excited to try...
Read moreSon of a Baker Pizza, located inside The Archibald in Fort Worth, offers a unique pizza experience in one of the city’s cocktail lounges. The moody lighting and upscale vibe of the lounge create a refined, intimate atmosphere, while the rooftop bar takes things to another level with its immaculate ambiance and open-air views - perfect for enjoying a slice and a drink.
Of the pizzas I tried, the Cheesy Sleazy featured a bold, slightly bitter-acid tomato sauce balanced by a solid cheese blend and a well-executed crust. But the standout was the Mama’s Drunken Margherita-truly phenomenal. The crust was light and airy, with a perfectly chewy bite, and the creamy vodka sauce was rich, cheesy, and packed with flavor. Fresh basil leaves added the perfect aromatic finish.
Whether you're lounging indoors or soaking up the rooftop vibes, Son of a Baker delivers creative, well-made pizzas in one of Fort Worth’s...
Read moreStopped by The Archibald on Saturday to meet up with a girlfriend. We headed upstairs to the rooftop first since it was a nice night out. FYI, there’s no server so you have to order everything at the bar. Seating is first come, first served, so grab a spot when you can!
Drinks were on the pricier side, but the New Fashion was really nice. The rooftop filled up quickly, so we went downstairs later for a change of scenery. The vibe downstairs was totally different compared to upstairs. The ambiance is classy, sexy, and intimate. Definitely a good place for a late night date. It was pretty crowded too.
We ended the night with the Presley Pesto pizza—absolutely delicious! Overall, great drinks, great food, and...
