Winchester Tavern — Restaurant in Fort Worth

I had quite the unpleasant experience last night because some strangers wanted to start a fight at this bar and the bartender was far from helpful. I had been watching the football game here since halftime and as the game was coming to an end two people came and sat next to me and ended up continually asking if I wanted to fight. I brought the issue up to the bartender and she told ME to leave… mind you I’ve been enjoying my own company for 45 minutes before this and she tells me that I walked up and started bothering these people? She told me that she knew them better and didn’t know what I had done to start this and that it’s my fault because I walked up and sat down next to them. This was absolutely not true but I walked away and engaged with a new group of people to avoid any other issues. I was there far before these people showed up and they came and sat next to me and started problems but the bartender acted like it was me causing issues. This was an extremely unpleasant, embarrassing and unwelcoming experience and I hope they pay attention and can grow from this and learn how to handle situations like this. Would not recommend the experience, not returning...

Have come to this bar a few times and it’s been great! I came last night with some friends and the bartender with black hair in space buns was extremely rude. Not sure if she was just having a bad day, but she told my friends they were cut off after one drink and did not give any type of explanation (was the first drink of the night) and then said we better make sure we close out asap. Not sure what happened or if she had us confused with someone else, but she wouldn’t even let some of my friends order that didn’t even drink yet. Once we asked to close out, she ignored us and walked off, so we asked to close out with someone else, which she then came back over and harshly said “no I told you all you need to close out asap and it’s going to be with me”. Really sad because we all love coming here and everyone’s been so nice, but she was unfortunately rude and ruined everyone’s experience...

I will not be coming back to here.

The lady bartending was absolutely horrible. When we first walked in, she gave us the nastiest look and made a comment about not wanting us there. Throughout the night she continued to give us looks, make comments, and made a point to ignore serving us drinks. She made it very clear that we were inconveniencing her, and that she would rather sit there and talk. Our entire group was uncomfortable and felt unwelcome.

In addition, the international in our group was judged for having her (valid) passport instead of a driving license. Proceeding to tell her that her driving license was to be invalid if she used it anyway (which she didn’t plan to).

We only got one drink because of her and not wanting to interact with her again. I will not be going back, nor will the rest...
