Firstly the waiter was horrible. She greeted us ,but there after never checked on us .We had to repeatedly ask for biscuits. The first batch she came out with was cold and hard.Consequently ,the entire experience was a nightmare .We had to ask her to clean the table as they sat us down on a dirty table .The food took forever and she never came to say “sorry for the wait ,we haven forgotten you “ nothing .When the food arrived they order was wrong ,therefore we had to wait for what we ordered to come out(an additionally 15 min)I asked her if she was okay ,because she seemed overwhelmed, and I felt bad for her ,because she was getting everything wrong ,Even though the service was bad we put a 40 aside for her (cash for a tip )until………check time .We split the bill I gabe her my card to ring up my portion ,however she used my card and rang up a different order .I was not going to ring my card again for the total plus another total. ,they issued a refund and said it would take 2 to 4 days.I was upset now because instead of 80 on my card now would be charge $150 so I was upset but still calm at the moment. She got the supervisor ,a lovely young lady. .She stated she would talk to her manager ,while waiting to see how they would ring the card again .The waitress came and said don’t worry about it ,because of everything that happened we would comp the food .I put my card back in my purse ,getting ready to pack up ,then the general manager comes with his ,shoulders buffed up looking to intimidate. He gets as loud as he can and says “ You’re not leaving until you pay this “ insinuating we tried to dine and dash , and this is when I got angry .I asked for the waitress and the supervisor as they both told me it was taken care of ,mind you I never asked for that, but that what was the option given so I took it ,he went back and forth with me ,yelling and trying to intimidate me and I did indeed get to his level as well, only when my husband came from the restroom is when his attitude change .Only then did he ask the supervisor ,what both she and the waitress told me as my husband took of the conversation with him.(Keep in mind we never even complained about all the issues with the food ,the table ,the waitress ,my card was given to pay the food even after all of that) The supervisor confirmed ,and we got ready to leave ,while he walked behind us making a scene and reprimanding the supervisor ,and saying I hope you enjoyed your free meal .I will never again go to this restaurant in Kissimmee or any red lobster .He tried to humiliate us after ,the waitress messed up ,dirty table which we never complained about ,cold food, wrong order ,which we never asked to be taken care of just as for a different batch ,it became a problem when the waitress used my card on an...
Read moreI'm not one to write reviews, but this was NOT a good dining experience and I have a feeling we weren't the only ones there that felt that way. We came for the "all you can eat shrimp" promotion. We had to wait 40 minutes for a table although one quarter of the restaurant was empty. I guess they were short staffed, which should have been our first warning to just leave. Once we got seated, we literally waited another 15 minutes before anyone came to the table. We decided to order our drinks and food all at once to try and speed up the process. It becomes comical how every time we'd order something the server would say "oh, we're out of that". We started by trying to order drinks from the bar, and the server would say "oh, we're out of that". Finally drink orders were placed and we started to order food. My husband began to order the all you can eat shrimp, and each time he mentioned a shrimp he wanted the server said "Oh we're out of that"...or "Oh, we're out of the dipping sauce that comes with that". He began ordering sides, broccoli and Cole slaw....I kid you not, the server said "Oh, we're out of Cole slaw". It became ridiculous. I just laid my head on the table. Finally I ordered a beer, a bowl of soup, and calamari. I asked for it all to come out together as my meal. 10 minutes later my soup arrived....no other food...and we still had NO DRINKS..not even water. I finished my soup before the server ever made it back to the table, and once she did, she brought waters and said "there's a backup at the bar. Oh, and we don't have the beer your ordered, we're out of it". I just stuck with water. The food finally arrived. It was fine. Typical Red Lobster food. Once we were done I asked for the check and a ToGo box. 20 minutes later, and 4 passes by our table by the server with her saying "Oh, I forgot your togo box"...she finally brought our togo box. Then said "I need to get your check" and left the table. Luckily she was back in 5 minutes with the check. I hate to leave bad tips. I'm usually a very generous tipper, but this service was TERRIBLE. not once did she ask if we wanted refills on our drinks, offer dessert, or ask if we wanted anything else. She just put the check on the table without saying a word. We tipped accordingly. By this point we'd been in the restaurant for over 2 hours. Needless to say, we will NOT be returning to this restaurant. I think they rely on tourists who won't be returning. Unfortunately, we live nearby, but there are way too many good restaurants nearby that we'd rather give...
Read moreRed Lobster, not the same from the 80’s & 90’s. Back then, the biscuits were fresh and fluffy; not dry and with processed ingredients.
After seeing the commercials on TV for their 3 course dinner, decided to see, what seemed to be a good looking menu. Now, I am a firm believer, big chains should not be allowed to create such deceitful ad campaigns.
I ordered, Caesar salad, Coconut shrimp and the Shrimp Alfredo over pasta.
The Caesar salad, had no taste whatsoever. I guess they forgot to add anchovies to the dressing.
The coconut shrimp was good, that I will say. Actually, it was very good! Crisp & tasty, perhaps was air fried, or they used clean oil. Definitely not greasy.
As to the Shrimp Alfredo, not edible. The GMO shrimp was translucent and with that texture that seems you’re eating plastic instead of something natural. ((( I guess they didn’t sauté the shrimp to avoid shrinkage.)))
Anyway, moving on, the Alfredo sauce itself was not bearable. You could see the oil separating from the cream on the dish. I left the entire plate. Was going to take it home, but couldn’t even force myself to do so.
On the upside, my waitress was wonderful, she truly was; and to my surprise, I was given credit for the pasta. That gesture was appreciated, thank you.
And that brings me to the next point. I truly wish there was a way for all these big chains to start offering real food instead of GMO’s or lab produced grubs. At least, start producing non-plastic tasting or chemically engineered edibles.
Now a days, plant food is a term used for lab foods. And I have to wonder, how much of that experiment is really based on real plants, and not fake ones.
On my way out, I saw a few lobsters in the tank. My first thought was, ‘they look real unlike the ones at Boston Lobster Fest.’ — I guess, I will have...
