The ice cream was okay. The two kids that waited on us did alright. They didn’t offer napkins. I went back in to get some. We had biked there. We sat outside to social distance. We chose to sit right by the shop entrance at an outdoor table. The other seating areas where there was a bike rack appeared to be part of another establishment. We kept our bikes with us and moved them to the side out of the way. At one point, my bike slid where I propped it. I am most certain the two kids saw and or heard my bike fall. Just as we were leaving, an older lady with a mask came out and asked if we were leaving or just arriving; because if we were just arriving we should have read the signs that said no bikes were allowed and placed our bikes in the bike rack. If we were just arriving we could not sit there with our bikes. We said we were just leaving and had not seen the signs. We checked all around the building and the signs she said were there were non-existent. My partner peeked her head back in the door and asked her where the signs were. The lady made some smart remark. If she had just said, I don’t know if you are aware, but we only allow bikes in the bike rack next door. You are welcome to sit here, just please move your bikes to the rack. Instead she was very harsh, exacting, and downright rude. Life is to short for that kind of treatment. Ice cream is supposed to be a fun experience! She was just plain ugly. Don’t waste money supporting that kind...
Read moreGreat place to go if you want some of the old style candies. Their ice cream is delicious but expensive. They make homemade ice cream, homemade pie and homemade fudge. I'd say it's pretty pricey for the stuff compared to other places I've been. They have a bar outside and a barbecue. The bartender in the cook are really great super friendly talkative and informative people. I just don't appreciate the way their manager dresses especially around the young children. If I had kids I would probably not bring them there when she was around. she dresses kind of on the s* side I'd say. Very inappropriate attire for children to see. Unless you don't mind your children seeing a grown adult wearing short short tight cut-offs and low-cut tops. Other than that it's a...
Read moreI would love to give a full review of this place (and I actually could since we’ve been here a couple of times last ski season & the one before), but I am basing this on my experience tonight. Hours say they’re open every day 9:00a until 9:00p, but they were closed when we arrived at 8:25p. Definitely a pet peeve of mine when you don’t honor the posted hours. Especially a bummer after walking two blocks in sub-30F temps from Bagalis restaurant (which I recommend). This happened last year as well when they arbitrarily closed at 8:00p. I was more forgiving then being in the middle of the...
