I had family in from out of town and decided we’d take them out for dinner in Gettysburg. We decided on this restaurant. We had 5 adults and 3 toddlers. The hostess sat us at a 6 person table. Due to being cramped we just slid this other table next to ours since it was empty. The hostess started whispering about it and told her manager. The manager then came out and asked if we were sitting at one table and we said yes. She then told us they get very busy (it’s 4:30 on a Wednesday) and it’s hard to move the tables back so they had to separate the tables now. It took all but 5 seconds for her to turn the table back to how it was. It wasn’t as if we moved a table to ours that was across the restaurant. The manager asked us to sit at two different tables since they were “close together” one table was situated horizontal and the other vertically. Extremely rude so we left and walked down to ABC Brewing Co. They HAPPILY pushed tables together so we could eat as a family. Don’t come here to eat if you have a large party. They will make you feel like a burden for trying to dine in their restaurant.

The photo is where we were sat. The red arrow showing where the hostess sat us.. (small table that would barely fit 6 people) green arrow is how we pushed the tables together which was clearly a problem.. blue is showing that the far table was actually horizontal instead of vertical like it is in this picture. Absolutely ridiculous considering I found this picture of their restaurant online and this is how they had their table arrangement but for some reason it HAD to be put back so we couldn’t...

Pros: Yeah, we were surprised on how big the servings were. Wife ordered the cheesesteak with fries and oh boy that stretched into the next day for lunch. I had a big boy dinner plate of steak with brocolli and fries. Our little human just got a Mac and cheese. They were all delicious.

Cons: I first walked in by myself and was already making our way to the table when I asked about the parking. They told me there’s a parking out back which I’m grateful for so I said lemme park my car out back and I’ll come right back in with my family. Parked out back, walked back in, this time, we let a family go in before us. Cos you know be kind, right? They ended up giving my table to the family we let in front of us! Head-scratcher cos as the host saw me again behind the family in front of us she said “oh your table just got taken. You’ll have to wait”. Well, isn’t that something! You saw me here in front of the family we let in and I told you I’m coming right back.

The food coming out was a bit of a downer too. We waited a little too long for our food to come out. You’ll know when it’s been sitting under the warmer cos the whole plate itself was hot to the touch. Wasn’t unbearable but plates temperature will tell you how long the food has been made and sitting there.

Come on, tighten up a little!

Food was good but service...

This is a place my in-laws have been to many times and we met here for dinner with their grandkids. So 6 for dinner and we ate in the upstairs dining room. The room is filled with old time baseball memorabilia. And had sports on the TV.

We had the nachos as an appetizer and they were cheesy, meaty and covered in jalapenos and banana peppers. Really really good nachos.

Dinner was one order of crab cakes with steamed broccoli (wife liked it and they were pretty good sized), MIL had blackened chicken salad and she cleaned the plate (was a very large salad), grandkid #1 had lobster ravioli which she liked (said the sauce was a little spicy), grand kid #2 has filet mignon and broccoli & corn (14 yo boy) which the plate was cleaned and myself and my FIL both had the Fish Fry. He had steak fries and I had the waffle cut fries. We both had the slaw. All I can say is that the first kid and my wife were the only ones to have food left on the plate and neither eat very much.

The bill was reasonable for the 6 of us and we had a great server. She made sure we had full drinks the entire time. She was very friendly.

Overall a great meal in a comfortable place with a very friendly staff. I would def eat here again. With or...
