As I pulled by the front of the restaurant into the drive-through, I saw a special for $6 posted on the dining room window but wasn't sure what it consisted of. I asked about it when ordering and was told they didn't have a $6 special; only a $9 special for 5 pieces of chicken. I said, "Ok, no problem, I must have misread something," and I ordered a chicken tender combo . As I pulled away, I noticed my Coke was only carbonation, so I parked and went inside to get a new drink and just decided to eat in the dining room. The girl at the counter apologized and were very nice about the drink, saying they noticed it was out and changed it. The food wasn't fresh, besides the mashed potatoes being extremely hot. The biscuit seemed to be almost stale and likely from when they had opened. As I'm eating, I see the sign on the window for the $6 meal. I told an employee, and she apologized after I explained I paid double for my meal. The restaurant was completely empty aside from minimum cars going through the drive-through. Upon leaving, the manager seemed pre-occupied, so I tried calling about an hour later to make her aware. No one answered. The positive here was that the restaurant was very clean, and it appeared to be staffed very well. The fallback, however, is the fact that employees working the drive-through should be aware of the menu, and if they don't know for sure, ask. Customers rely on specials. I could have eaten for less than half of what I paid and got a...
Read moreWe will not visit popeye's anymore. We went in there 40 minutes before they're closing time. They could not fill our order. They did not have the chicken prepared and cooked. They offered to give us extra boneless chicken in place of what we ordered. And of the bone in chicken that we did order they gave us 5 wings. I did not order wings. I should not have received more than 2. Offering the boneless chicken in its place was to me not acceptable. A business that serves food should be prepared to serve the customer with whatever is on the menu as long as they are open. If you can't provide the customer with the product you prepare and cook during the operating hours that your business states then maybe you should change your business hours. For example if you are claiming to be open and serving customers until 10 o'clock you need to be prepared to have every menu item available until 10 o'clock. If you can't provide every menu item until 10 o'clock then maybe you need to start closing at 9 o'clock. It's not brain surgery. It is customer service which is lacking at so many retail locations and restaurants that it's not...
Read moreI've been driving for 12 1/2 hours today. All I wanted was to get something to eat. I asked for 3 sauces with my chicken tenders. I get back to my hotel to find out they gave me no sauce for my tenders. I called to speak with the manager. The phone rang forever. Julia finally answered and said she was the manager. I explained the situation to her and she said oh he must have forgot to put them in there because I know I put them on the receipt. Well I wouldn't know, because I didn't even receive a receipt with my food. I was told that we could only get wings or thighs with the breast instead of 2 drumsticks because it was going to take 12-13 minutes to make them, but I sat in the drive through at least that long. Julia stuttered and said I apologize and that she didn't know if we lived here or not. I said, No I just told you that I've been driving for 12 1/12 hours. Still nothing, I said well apparently you don't care to make it right either then. Worse service I have ever received...
