OK. So, I don't like giving 1 star reviews unless it was a horrible experience, usually involving poor interactions on the staff's part. But this is close. We came here about 3 months ago. There was one couple on the family side and us on the bar side. Four employees. I had to get my own soda twice. We just weren't paid any attention.
Yesterday, we felt like wings, and Wings Etc. won over the nearby wing place. A mistake we shall never make again. Four tables in family, one in the bar. Three employees on the floor. Long waits without drink refills. We requested a marinara, and got brought a salsa. Fine, whatever, they're both red. We never saw our server between app order and meal service, then, not til bill time, which we had to request from another server. Twice, twice, I had to go to the bar for a soda refill...where our server was stationed and couldn't see the family dining room. Granted, I'm fairly certain that they had the ability to walk over and check on us, but this didn't happen after our order was taken. The food was good, but this whole experience was bad enough to warrant us summoning a manager.
Turns out, the manager was one of the servers. Who walked by us multiple times as we had empty drinks and said nothing to their employee at the bar, nor did she offer assistance. She explained that our server was new, they were working the bar and probably shouldn't have been given a table (Really? A table she couldn't see from her workstation?), and...then she kept explaining. The manager slung blame every which way but hers. A simple "sorry, they're new," or something would have sufficed...but she then said that she noticed that our server wasn't helping us...but then the manager did absolutely nothing (besides bring us the wrong sauce after we flagged her down...which the marinara IS delicious with the cheese curds btw) to help her out or help us. She just let this whole s*show play on and went about her managery day. She was kind enough to offer a discount and a couple coupons, but I gave them to a nearby table with no intention of returning, especially with a perfectly fine wing place less than 1,000' away.
I will say, I'm not interested in your standard "email me" response. No. I'm just not coming back. Plain and simple. I've seen recent reviews and they reflect our experience pretty similarly. You obviously don't care about actually solving the problem, and throwing us a free or discounted meal isn't going to do anything when I have to keep getting my own drinks and seeing how many Pokemon I can catch (all 8 that I saw) before I see my server.
If you come here, you can see why there's plenty of seating available. Two visits, months apart, both times staffed reasonably, and both times plain p-poor service. This establishment's leadership and staff has simply, plainly, matter-of-factly, run out of *s to give and it shows in the service (but not the food, it's still good) and the patronage. It's somewhat sad...the food is really good, the wing sauces are delicious...but that service...just embarrassing.
And I will say this to the "manager": You should never, NEVER tell a customer that "she won't be here much longer." This is never what we want to hear, it's unprofessional, and an absolute disrespect to that person. Her disciplinary record should remain between the two of you. "We'll deal with this accordingly," "I'll make sure to have a talk with her," "We'll make a note of it in her file" even...but dang, not that you're going to terminate her soon. What. The. H**l. Proof that you've done this so many times, you're running out of excuses to the point you're just blunt about it. YOU gave her a table she couldn't see. YOU didn't go over there and suggest she check on us. YOU didn't offer us help. YOU didn't manage her, you didn't train her, you didn't coach her. I'm thinking it's less her fault than yours. Boo to you. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
TL;DR Food: 4. Cleanliness: 4. Seating wait time: 5. Food wait time: 3....
Read moreDon’t waste your time…I’ve been to this Greenfield location 2 times. After the 1st time I said I’d never go back, we waited 15 minutes to be seated, another 15 minutes before someone took our drink order. The food was ok. That visit was probably 4 years ago. Last night after a long day at work we decided to go out. The only restaurants open was Applebees until midnight, which was choice #1, and Wings Etc. unit “11:00 pm” as stated on their door and website. which only became an option because as usual, Applebees was packed full and there were only a handful of people in Wings Etc. once again we waited forever to get seated…about 10 minutes, though they kept looking towards us like they wondered if we’d just leave if they didn’t seat us. Finally one of the girls told one of the workers to seat the people at the door. They seated us, gave us our menus, and said the waitress would be right out. We arrived at 9:45 and was given our menus at 9:55. I heard the waitress complain when she went to tell her that she just seated us as if she was finished for the night. After 5 minutes the girl that seated us came out and said “I’m sorry, our kitchen is now closed.” I asked about the posted hours and she said “That’s between you and the owners.” LoL!!! Very few people want to do their jobs anymore. Seems like there’s a generation of “workers” that don’t realize that without customers their will be no paycheck for them. They’ll figure it out sooner or later. I’m sure this location will end up closing the doors just like several other of the Wings Etc have. The workers will move on to other restaurants and ruin them...
Read moreAfter giving this place 3 tries to impress me, I give it 1 Star. The main issues are slow service, stale cold food, and overpricing. The first time, my curly fries were only mildly warm. The second time they were very busy and the wait time was awful. There was one group that sat down and waited for about 10 minutes for a server to even take their drink orders before just leaving. I had to wait about 15 minutes after our drink order before flagging the waitress down and reminding her of our drinks. In addition to that, the food took 2-3 times as long as any other sit-down restaurant. The third time I went, the restaurant had very few customers, so I figured, we would have fresh food and it will be quick. While yes, the wait was not bad, the food was cold. I ordered boneless chicken wings and the chicken was not hot, looked like it had been sitting around for a while, and did not have that fresh crisp texture of being just cooked. I've worked in a restaurant before so I know the difference between fresh chicken and chicken that has been siting around for 30+ minutes. With the restaurant so dead, they really had no excuse other than laziness not to make a fresh batch of chicken.
I really wanted to like this place because I had heard that it had good food and great burgers, but every time was a disappointment. I will likely not return and warn others not to visit...
