First visit, brought by a friend Second visit totally by choice and i was NOT disappointed. First lets get the negs outta the way which speak to the star count. First its hard to just give a place 5 stars during the first few visits b/c restaurant hopping is kinda like App Dating isn’t it? On the surface everything looks perfect and seems to be in the right place… idealistic even… but b/c of experience ….you know the truth… They look like a “10” but, theres something just a bit off about how they do relationships like they live a double like already married to someone else but “waiting for the paperwork to go through” or cant seem to “read a room” b/c they are on the spectrum or every time a nearby ambulance siren goes off they suddenly begin burp-singing christmas songs b/c of “that one time in band-camp.” In the beginning they seemed perfect. B/c you forgot to wait for the second shoe to drop. I said all that just to say maybe I’m a bit jaded of all the times i remembered wrong and when I revisited that same place i swore by before when first recommending it to others. I never mention it again in such high regard. I save First Time Fives for those magical moments when everything starts at a level no one expects b/c of all the for-thought and planning that went into the location, the staff and the product, a rarity. Food wise, i rate this place high. My food came presented well, flavored perfectly and as described and perfectly flavored! My low scores were for some of the ambience. The space reverbs a lot b/c of the all the hard surfaces ceiling , walls and i carpeted floors. It can get pretty loud inside and the floors were sticky reminding me of college bars from my youth. Otherwise not too bad. Food Good portions Good flavor Good servers

Our server was friendly although service was a little slow. She was doing her best and was very attentive and got everything right! She just seemed to need more help as she was running all over the restaurant. The salsa was good, especially with the Habenero puree to add in. That had a ton of flavor and just the right kind of heat. Just be aware that it isn't a "free chips and salsa" place. It was just $5, though. We had the chicken nachos, which was quite large. They were layered up with queao, which is always a good sign! There was a good amount of tender pulled chicken as well. I feel like these were the best "bang for your buck" of our group. We got an order of Guacamole to go with it. It was very fresh tasting! We also had the pesto chicken taco, buffalo chicken taco, and a chicken enchilada. Fun fact about the enchilada...you can pick a sauce to top it with and queso is an option! Again, can't go wrong with more queso! I also had a honeysuckle margaritas. That was very good! I recommend giving it a try. It was refreshing, not too sweet, and you can taste each fresh ingredient. Overall, it was a fun place and a good choice for this type of cuisine downtown.

This is our second visit to Cantina 76 in Greenville, and this visit was as delicious as the first. We started with the Tres Hombres appetizer that contains best salsa my husband and I have ever tasted. (And he loves salsa!) The guacamole and cheese dip were also wonderfully flavorful, and the chips were far better than regular Mexican restaurant chips. I’m not sure why They were warm with a hint of salt and a lovely crunch. I had the chimichanga as I did the last time (to see if it was just as good as the first time), and it, too, was wonderfully seasoned and cooked. My husband had the soft tacos, (shrimp, I believe) and he enjoyed them so much, he asked for two more! If you are in Greenville and in the mood for an extra special Mexican dinner at an above average restaurant, stop in. Ask for Kylie. **We have eaten at the Cantina 76 restaurant in Mt. Pleasant, North Carolina, on many occasions, and their food is more aligned with a regular Mexican restaurant; however, your salsa and cheese dip are complimentary. Try it if you’re ever up our way.

Watch out if you have a different food diet... This is including if you are allergic to something, vegetarian or vegan. I definitely will not be returning. I asked for a meal with no fried chicken as I am vegetarian. Plate came out with chicken... no big deal, I just asked for a new plate. As I tell this to the food runner she rolls her eyes and goes back to the kitchen. A second later she comes back with the same plate but chicken picked off ( we could see the indentation of the chicken where it was placed:/). I sent the plate back only to be brought the same plate by a different woman. The third time I asked they moved the pieces of salad around but I could still smell the chicken on the lettuce and it looked the exact same. At this point I was over it but my friend ordered another veggie taco salad. They sent out another salad that was clearly different not only by the different shell but the portion of toppings. The waiter said she saw them remake it but I guess they decided to keep the same shell and smell??? The manager vouched for this but ended up telling on himself when he said they remade nachos but a salad was the only thing reordered.... so a lie obviously. Long story short, if you have a food allergy keep in mind that they don’t like to remake food and will play you like your dumb. Food contamination is not a known concept here. Waiter was nice but still ended up paying full price despite being toldos would go back on my card...

Came here with my friend who wanted to show me around downtown Greenville. We were able to get a really nice seat outside, which we were happy about! It was a perfect evening for outdoor dining and downtown Greenville is perfect for it in terms of environment and scenery.

This was one of those situations where you don't really know who your server is, as about four-five different people came to our table throughout the evening. It was clear that our actual server was overworked and probably had too much going on inside, and was expected to manage indoor and outdoor tables. So we rarely got water refills, and I had to seek out our own utensils and napkins.

On top of that, the meat on my tacos (chicken and brisket) were cold. Like COLD, not room temperature, but COLD to the touch. Which is so odd, especially since the chicken had literal grill marks on it. I didn't get to mention it to my server(s), as they were busy inside. So I ate them lol. Can't say too much about flavor, as I was just kind of like "Well here I am, eating cold tacos."

The flour tortillas were also cold, taken right out of the bag and not introduced to any type of heat it seemed. Same for the corn tortilla that I ordered with my veggie taco. The meat tacos were...
