EDIT: I am changing my review from 1 star to 2 stars only because of the response from the store owner to my original review. I appreciate when businesses take the time to read and respond to customer reviews. So, I hope Dress Up Greenville will genuinely do better at treating their customers with basic respect and kindness.
**after reading other recent reviews, it is clear that this is not the first time something of this manner has occurred. To anyone reading this review, I recommend you read other recent reviews as well before making your decision to spend money here.
There are very few things that make me more upset and bothered than rude employees. My mom and I stopped in this store while we were waiting for a table at a restaurant nearby. Everything was fine up until we were ready to checkout. There wasn't anyone at the counter to help us at first (which is fine) but a girl who worked there was very close by and clearly was avoiding coming to the register. She wasn't helping anyone and was making sure the hangers were evenly spaced apart all while she clearly saw us standing there- it felt like she was purposely doing everything BUT wanting to help us. Once she finally made her way over, she didn't say a word to us and just started ringing up the clothes (with a straight face and a clearly bothered/annoyed demeanor). My mom had a 10% off coupon to use and I swear the girl was even more rude (which i didn't think was even possible at this point) about her wanting to use it. I absolutely do not understand how someone who is getting paid to do their job, acts like it's the biggest inconvenience in the world to them. I understand people have bad days, but I can't think of an acceptable excuse as to why this girl made us feel like such an inconvenience.
It takes a lot for me to complain about customer service because I usually try and give people the benefit of the doubt but the way your employee made us feel, made me (and my mom) never want to shop here again. I really hope management has a discussion with the girl (was in her 20ās with dirty blonde/light brown hair) who was working the night of April 2, 2022 in order to avoid mistakes like this in the future.
To anyone reading this review, do not waste your time and money here and do your shopping on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time visiting Greenville SC and this store. Stopped in to buy my 12 year old some clothes for her birthday (without said 12 y/o) spent upwards of $250. I had a 50% success rate so the following day we went together to either exchange or return the items if she didnāt see anything else she liked. Standing in line the girl at the counter was rude upon her initial greeting āare you in line? Then you need to be over hereā more offensive in tone than actual words stated. When explained that we were returning items today (my daughters actual birthday) because they werenāt a hit, I was asked if we wanted to exchange or obtain store credit ($97 for a store weād never be back to) with zero customer service and as cold as a robot she told me it was stated clearly on the receipt. My daughter in tears because she couldnāt find ANYthing that she wanted. Great. Great spot for that piece of information so after you already spend too much on low quality product, a smug 20 year old can tell you that itās your problem. So- as not to just hand them almost $100 of my dollars, I now own two pieces of low quality clothes that I never wanted in the first place after supporting this store with a very large spend the day before. Buyer beware. We will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy gf brought me in here once and I was hooked. They have all kinds of styles for the old and young with reasonable prices and great quality! Iām more of a boho type gal and itās so hard to find boho clothes in Greenville but Dress Up offers a nice mix of boho & casual. Iāve ordered alot off their online store. I have to admit tho, Iāve had issues with not receiving my entire order and itās hard bc they will send your order in several individual packages making tracking them a nightmare; but in the end it works out. Itās just a bit more hassle than Iād like. And donāt try to email them as you will never get a response. However the clothes themselves are beautiful!! Just pay attention when ordering online to the fine print sizing!! I order my regular size of large and it has turned out to be much too large bc I didnāt read that it was āoversizedā or ran large. Their sweaters are so comfortable!! I think Iāve ordered 5-6 just this winter alone! And watch for their sales!! They have them alot and you can get some great deals on great clothing.
Their store is a 5/5, the quality of their clothes 5/5; their online customer service is 3/5 and thatās...
