Why did I rate 2 stars when everyone else has incredibly high reviews? Well well well you’re gonna find out.
Firstly, I got the berrylicious icecream. I noticed the prices, but it didn’t really click to me that I was paying 8.95 for that small amount of icecream. I mean you can get a whole jug of icecream from the grocery store for that price. Nonetheless, I got that icecream and BOY the whipped cream had such an unappealing taste to it. I came on a Saturday, and they were busy, like very busy. I don’t know if the whipped cream was old or something, but it didn’t even taste like regular whipped cream. It tasted bad. The fruit on my berrylicious icecream… again… it tasted like it was one day away from being spoiled. Just not good quality fruit and whipped cream.
Not only that but it was falling everywhere. Like I said they were busy, so they obviously didn’t seem to care how haphazardly they put the toppings on there.
Next, the icecream was just mid. Like ghastly overrated for the price. Like send to Heaven and back ghastly overpriced for the mediocrity. I was really disappointed and annoyed about that. The environment was uncomfortable to be in alone. The staff seemed unhappy to be honest.
While I was paying there was this Indian guy with shoulder length hair working the register. I’m not sure if he’s the manager, or the owner but man he was pushy. I quickly chose what I wanted and everything and when I originally came in there wasn’t anyone behind me. When I was saying my order people started coming in, so really he had no reason to be that impatient anyway considering I was quick and also because no one was behind me. It almost seemed like he wanted you to have the order already in your head. Like if you come here on a busy day and you haven’t pre-arranged your order, he may give you a stink eye.
Anyway, not to mention he was STARING like STARING so hard at the screen to see if I tipped or not. I didn’t even want to because for one he was unpleasant to be around, and two because it’s 9 dollar icecream. It’s already overpriced to begin with. But I could literally feel him peer pressuring me to tip. And I did. I don’t do well under pressure. 10 dollars. 10!!! FOR SOME MEDIOCRE LAME ICECREAM! I could have paid for half a meal at that price, but no, I paid 10 dollars for some icecream that didn’t even make me happy.
You know what he said he was like “Oh, I’m only looking at the screen to tell you to do the “decline pin” like yeah no. Good excuse. But I could tell from your energy that you were glaring at the screen to see if I’d tip. And honestly with those type of people you kinda feel forced to tip because you feel like if you don’t they’ll make your food poorly.
I know I’m writing this and may not seem that kind, but I’m writing this because I’m emotional and disappointed about my experience. I was actually very tame and kept to my self. Like I said I don’t do well under pressure and I’m introverted I just sat in a corner chair, waited patiently in that loud restaurant for my icecream, got it, and then left.
I think the most disappointing think about this is I’ve been there before. They had a different spot downtown, and the building was nicer it had brick walls, and I got this same icecream and it was SOOOOO GOOOD! I was like wow this is expensive but it’s worth it. I came here with those same expectations and looking forward to that pure joy I had, but I got the opposite. Anyway, beware of this place. Go to...
Read moreVery rude and uneducated staff. I came in with my group of students as i was working. I had my service dog with me, he did absolutely nothing was by my side the entire time. A staff came up to me ( older woman ) and told me they couldn’t have the dog in here. i politely told her he was a service dog, she then went on with an attitude telling me he cannot be in here and that he was required to wear a vest (Which under the ADA it specifically states that service dogs ARE NOT required to wear vests) i tried to politely tell her she couldn’t deny me access because of my service dog and that it was illegal. i tried multiple times to be reasonable and even told her that he didn’t have his vest on but had a tag on, she refused to look at it and rudely told me to leave. I even tried to educate her and she was just very rude. i told her she could call law enforcement and we would handle it accordingly. She then went and got another staff who then continued to come to me and tell me he cannot be in here. The second staff was nicer and was more open to communication. he did tell me that he wasn’t allowed because he didn’t have a vest but i then tried again to tell him it wasn’t required and mentioned he had a tag on. he asked to see the tag and then allowed us to eat here. i would have left if it weren’t for the children. i had an awful experience and didn’t even get to enjoy what i came for. It’s in my opinion that the staff should have and NEED better training on accessibility for Service dogs and their handlers. Very disappointed and will not come back. I was scared to even have him do his job to help to bring my anxiety/stress down because i was afraid they would say something else. this could have all been avoided with better...

There were two people mixing the ice cream, hand off to the woman for topping, and pick off the next cup in queue. Each cup has a receipt and I counted 6 cups until my order.
After about 15 minutes wait, one of my cup was picked and placed next to the ice pan buuuuut he went back to the queue and pick up another that was 3 cups behind me and proceed to make this order instead. Turn out this woman couldn't wait her turn to record her kid watching her ice cream get made...
The cashier picked up another cup that was further behind mine, placed next to the third empty ice pan, and proceed to make the order.
My other cup (oreo in the item line) got picked up and I watched it go toward the topping lady. She placed it on counter, voicing one word. "Oreo?," I asked. I was expecting yes or no, but she kept repeating herself. I repeated myself loudly, "oreo?" Nothing so I slowly grabbed the said cup when someone walked up, stating her name. The topping lady said yea and looked at me holding it... It should be noted this person also ordered long after I did so I got skipped again.
I assumed my cup made it to the topping section and the lady placed it on counter. I'm staring at her, waiting for her to yell out the name or item to avoid another accidental grab. But nope, she just kept looking down- not acknowledging me.
Additionally during the initial wait, my husband ordered a food from nearby restaurant, walked and picked up the order before my cup were barely ready... he had to wait another 16 minutes.
I thought rolled ice cream was supposed to be an experience, not worth the $20...
