To begin, I’m honestly a little impressed at the service based on the apparent staffing issues. One host and one server for mid-week brunch.
At the same time, I’m glad that I originally wanted to sit outside, because the temperature inside the building wasn’t much lower. Not having working A/C in July is pretty rough.
After being seated, it felt like a while before the server stopped by for a drink order, long enough to peruse the whole menu and decide on meals as well, but it was maybe 10 minutes max.
They were out of the Rosé for mimosas, so we got the classic. Not impressed, here, as it felt like the ratio was backwards; orange juice with a splash of bubbly, rather than the other way around. I’m glad we didn’t pay for a carafe’s worth.
I requested caramel flavor to be added to my iced coffee, and since it’s likely outside their normal practices, I can’t be too upset that they added the syrup after the ice. It just meant that I had to stir for a long while to get it to dissolve.
We had to ask for cutlery when the food arrived, but it was hot and pretty tasty, except for the eggs being over cooked.
The food quality is the reason for three stars rather than two.
The home fries/breakfast potatoes were easily the best item. Not to say that the banana pudding French toast or cheddar and andouille omelet were poor (they were good as well), but the potatoes were very well-seasoned and fried, not soggy. Best potatoes in memory.
There was an issue with charging a couple things as a separate side rather than the up charge listed on the menu, but they cleared it up without a fuss.
We may come back next time we visit Greenville, when hopefully the staffing...

Read moreMy wife, niece and myself arrived for breakfast and told there would be a 15-20 minute wait which was no problem. We were sat in about 30 minutes and still had no problems, after sitting at our table we noticed that the people that had been sat after us were having their orders taken before us. While that was a little alarming it was still nothing to make a big deal about. My wife needs to take medicine 30 minutes before eating so as we sat down she did this as we have neve had a problem in the past with food taking longer than 30 minutes and we already knew what we were ordering.
We order our food and our niece's food comes out within 5 minutes which was great. Here is where the problems comes in for the next HOUR we never see our server again, are offered more coffee, or have our food brought, or even had someone stop by the table to check on us. After an hour we finally get someone's attention and are told the tables somehow didn't put our order in. I asked to speak to the manager at this point, when she arrives she tells us the same thing (Ok I understand technology doesn't work all the time but how is it that niece's order went through but not ours and it was all on the same order?), I nicely tell the manager that my biggest issue is that we never in one hour were checked on. This entire problem could have been avoided. The manager totally ignored this and once again blamed it on the technology, but I don't see how lack of checking on us or checking on drink refills has anything to do...
