This is the time I wish I had more than 5 ⭐️- incredible is an understatement. Let me tell you about our journey in this elevated menu and environment. The cocktail menu is full of inventive twists on classics. Josh went with the Japanese Old Fashioned which is made with Japanese whiskey instead of bourbon. I chose the black and blue mule which was tequila mixed with a blackberry, blueberry and lime purée wit a splash of ginger beer. Espresso martinis were everywhere and looked amazing. Order 1: The bread. You’re thinking ok it’s bread but they serve it with butter that has a seafood base mix in. Ah. Maz. Ing. Order 2: The Wedge. If you follow me you know we can’t turn down a good wedge. This one had thick bacon pieces and who doesn’t want more bacon? Order 3: Oysters on the Half Shell. We went with the larger - less brine selection of the night. They were incredible and were served with a variety of sauces to once again elevate the experience. Order 4: A bottle of wine. Because one drink isn’t enough. We selected a Zinfandel was was reasonably priced and they were able to package up the rest for us to take back to the hotel. Order 5: Scallops with Mushroom Risotto. My allergies kept me from enjoying the risotto but they were able to substitute that with a fluffy bed of garlic mashed potatoes. Scallops were seared to perfection. You have to be thinking these people have to be stuffed and you would be right but wait we had another plate to go. Order 6: Sticky Toffee Pudding. This is a dessert I would have never chosen on my own but our server, Zach, who had not steered us wrong yet suggested it. I could have hugged him it was so good. Told him he must keep recommending it. Everyone should taste this! I like trying new places but this gem of a place deserves many return visits. Food, service and vibe of the restaurant all lead to an excellent experience.

My husband and I frequent Coral for pretty much every special occasion! The food is always delicious. Today I tried their special of soft shell crab and it did not disappoint! The saltiness of the fried crab and the bright notes of the arugula citrus salad complimented each other so well. I’ve had the halibut several times and the combination of all the flavors really hits the spot. The scallops are so good my husband gets it almost every time. Every dessert we’ve had has been delicious. The chocolate mouse is one of our favorites. The textures play together beautifully. It’s also such a nice touch they give you a few chocolates for special occasions. Their food chefs and pastry chefs are out of this world. Excellent job to all of them! As far as service goes, they outshine any restaurant I’ve ever been to. It’s clear there’s a lot of training that goes in to the way everything runs so smoothly. Every waiter/ess we’ve had has been extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I also think it’s very impressive that the managers/owners maybe? are always willing to help with tasks like clearing dishes and taking drink orders. The teamwork of the staff is impecable, and our food has also always come out very quickly. The ambiance is very nice. The lighting is at a good level where you can see each other but it’s also dimmed to where it feels like a nicer restaurant. It is on the louder side in the dining room but not to the point where you can’t have a conversation. I also really like the decor! If I had one small constructive criticism it would be that I would love to see some rotating specials as far as drinks go. While their cocktail options are good, to my knowledge the menu hasn’t really changed. Some seasonal drinks would be fun! All in all, favorite restaurant in Greenville! We recommend it to all our family and friends whenever we get the chance!

This was my first time being in Greenville, and I did a ton of research for the perfect birthday dinner. Coral exceeded my expectations! Between the crazy traffic and our Uber canceling on us, we were running late for our reservation. I called to inform them, and they were very accommodating, still allowing us to keep our reservation. I think every aspect of this experience deserves its own time to shine. So first, I’ll start with the service - impeccable. We never went without drinks, water, etc. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu. The ambiance was dimly lit and had such a romantic, cozy vibe. The bathrooms were also extremely clean! The drinks were so well crafted; I even enjoyed tasting my husband’s old fashioned - which has never happened! But the star of the show, as far as drinks go, was the toasted Marshmellow espresso martini. It was the best espresso martini I’ve ever had. It’s probably a good thing we live 3 hours from here because I would come just for these alone. As for the food, we ordered the bread and whipped ocean butter - which was absolutely divine; the right amount of saltiness and so soft. I got the scallops, and they were cooked to perfection, as well as my husband’s steak. The Parmesan risotto was the perfect accompaniment to the scallops. Each bite was better than the last. Unfortunately, we didn’t leave room for dessert, but they generously gave us house-made chocolates to celebrate my birthday, and those were rich and delicious! You can just tell the owners and the staff take great pride here. I cannot wait to come back! Edited to add - The owners were making sure everything ran smoothly and seemed like they were a great support for their staff, which is one of the biggest green flags in my eyes (as someone who has worked in food and beverage for 20+ years).
