My husband and I went after an appointment in Greenville, for the 2nd time. I was so looking forward to it because the first time my husband and I were so impressed. It was just after 5 pm and we were greeted and seated quickly. It was not busy. Business had picked up more as we were leaving but couldn't help but feel sorry for those that just in or coming in. Food was not as the first time. Both my husband and I got the same thing as last time, a signature plate..chicken souvlaki sandwich and the chicken was drenched in oil, chewy and tepid. The fries were hard as if undone and cold. Hardly any taziki. The waiter started off good but during the visit seemed more interested in talking to the person behind the bar or unseen. "A minute" to look at the menus to decide turned to 5 and we were fortunate to get a single refill on our drinks. Honestly I wished we had went to one of our favorite spots on the way home, but since we were so close to here and had such a great experience the first time, I was disappointed that I was disappointed. The owner wasn't there this time and unfortunately it showed, which means whoever was in charge was not as thorough as they should have been. I almost felt bad for the tip I left having been a server myself, but overall he was probably lucky to have gotten one at all. We will probably not think to go back at our next chance and opt for a more consistent choice. Maybe our food was under the warmer too long as our waiter was MIA most the time, maybe the chicken and fries were older than should have been, regardless quality was not...
Read moreWe ordered 2 saganakis ($13.50 each) for appetizers. I saw them sit on the counter under the lights for 5 minutes while our waitress took an order for another table and then put in the order. When they made it to our table, they had the consistency of rubber.
I ordered the gyro sandwich and my husband had the souvlaki sandwich. The kids had a kids cheese pizza and 2 orders of kids spaghetti with meatballs. The food was all okay. Nothing that great. The kids who ordered the meatballs didn't like them, but I don't blame the restaurant for that, kids can be picky. I thought they were skimpy on the tzatziki on my gyro, but it was pretty average otherwise. I ordered a side of fries for the kids. It was a huge disappointment, came on a small plate and they tasted stale. Ther kids ate maybe 1/3 of the order. My fries were cold. I did tell the waitress and she apologized, but I would have preferred her to do something to make it better. My husband said his souvlaki was good and his fries were warm.
I have eaten here 3 times hoping that it would get better, but each time has been a disappointment. My opinion is that this place is way overpriced for the...
Read moreWhat a fabulous time out with my husband tonight! The food was authentic Greek and not the "americanized" Greek served at other local restaurants in the region. Our server Logan was refreshing, warm, and personable and truly made the experience even better. He answered all our questions and if he didn't know, he didn't hesitate to get an answer for us. We started with the app dampler which included 2 spanakopita, 2 keftedes, 2 dolmades, 2 tiropita, tzatziki sauce, feta, olives and pita. We cleaned it all up except for a few pita breadsđ My husband had a house salad and I had the Avgolemono Soup which included chicken broth, orzo and egg-lemon which made a creamy hearty soup. For entrees, I had the Baked Pastichio which was baked pasta, ground meat and cheese casserole topped with Bechamel sauce and my husband had thr Makaronada which is Greek style pasta and cheese flavored with garlic and butter topped with homemade meat sauce. Omg sooo good with plenty left for a hearty lunch tomorrow. We opted to get 2 servings of baklava to bring home to enjoy as well. We will be back for sure. We drove an hour to check them out and it was...
