Meeting Grounds Market & Cafe — Restaurant in Greenville

When I went late this afternoon, I was excited to try a new local coffee shop. It quickly turned to a very anxiety producing time upon enterance. Instead of the friendly barista, I saw a kiosk to take my order. I saw someone scanning items. I was confused so I wasn't sure how to order my drink. I tried the kiosk and it just told me to.scan items. I became more anxious. I almost walked out. But I thought maybe I could order my drink in person. I walked up to the counter. Two people were laughing and enjoying their job. One of the women came to my rescue when she turned her head and explained very well how to order my drink. It's sad. I loved the honey lavender latte that I ordered. It's one of the reasons I added a star. However, I did not like the atmosphere. It felt cold and unwelcoming. I am disappointed that instead of becoming a regular and making friends with the baristas... I was met with a cold kiosk. They even text message you when your order is up. Really nice spot tucked into the side of the hyatt hotel. I was in a rush, so ordering from the kiosk and grabbing the drink as soon as they called my name made being in and out super quick and easy! I had time to check out the grab and go area while I was waiting, and though I didn’t get anything from there this time, they had a few beers that sounded great for the next time I can stop by. This is the new coffee shop downtown that opened where the old Starbucks used to be. I am not normally a flavored coffee guy, but I've had several of the seasonal sweet potato latte coffees there and I loved it. I also tried the honey lavender latte and it wasn't bad either. The big standout things here, however, are the sandwiches / toasts. The turkey focaccia sandwich is awesome, and the almond butter & banana toast is so good it tastes like a desert.
