I heard good things about Persis from my friends and in FB and decided to try it out with my friend. We had the Buhari chicken 90, Hyderabad chicken dum biriyani, and goat dum biriyani. We also ordered takeout: Persis special biriyani, Butter chicken with Naan, Chilli chicken, and Gobi Manchurian. The buhari 90 was great but thought it could have been better if it was boneless. Both the dum biriyanis were good but had the exact same taste and presentation (half of a boiled egg, onion ring slice, and lemon wedge) as Bawarchi's dum biriyani. Even the salan and raitha - mediocre - were the exact same as Bawarchi's. Maybe it's just a coincidence. There were more pieces here, which will nice if that continues. The Chilli chicken was awesome, and the butter chicken and Persis special biriyani were good. On the other hand, the Naan was average and the Gobi manchurian wasn't good at all for some reason. The service was exceptional- the staff were courteous, attentive, and helpful. However, I think there needs to some differentiation here for me to prefer it over the several other South Indian restaurants within a 1 mile radius. Lack of breakfast options is a concern too. I would still come back again to try other dishes that seemed nice (Railway mutton curry, Nilghiri chicken, Kozhi varutha curry, etc.) just for the great service.

We all loved dining in Persis. U have to try the starter, Shrimp Dynamite.. So sooo good. Serving size was good and affordable. Do try the food bowl. Naan was crispy and soft. Butter naan or any other naan has the tendency to become chewy after keeping it open for a long time. But Naan served at Persis was so soft for a long time.

Title: Warning: Shockingly Poor Service, Illegal Practices, and Blatant Ego! I used to be a regular at this restaurant, but recent events have left me seething! A Facebook post revealed their utter disregard for food safety and customer satisfaction. They not only served spoiled food but also responded to complaints with pure arrogance, showing zero accountability. I took the time to hear both sides of the story, but let me tell you, it’s crystal clear where the blame lies. This restaurant’s response to complaints reeks of pure ego and absolute zero accountability. They’re more interested in proving themselves innocent than addressing the real issue: customer satisfaction. Let me be crystal clear: selling spoiled or expired food is not just disgusting, it’s ILLEGAL! This restaurant needs a wake-up call on basic hygiene and customer service. I’m disgusted by their behavior and will NEVER set foot in there again. This isn’t a courtroom drama where they can argue guilt or innocence. They’re in the service industry, for crying out loud! It’s about listening to customers and ensuring their satisfaction, not playing defense like it’s some kind of game. Consider this a WARNING to anyone thinking of dining there. Save yourself the hassle and avoid this dumpster fire of a restaurant at all costs!

We went here for the first time last week and like to support small businesses in our area.

Pros: The idlis were incredibly fresh as was the dosa. You could tell it was fresh batter and the sambar and coconut chutney that came with it was incredibly flavorful.

Cons: We walked in and there was only one other table with two people in the whole restaurant. We went to wash our hands and the women's bathroom can only be described as gross. There was what looked like bits of food stuck to the sink and it smelled. Our glasses had smudge marks all over them and one of our plates had brown bits of food stuck on it. I know sometimes the dishwasher doesn't get everything, but the fact that no one even checked them after setting the table and then having to eat food after seeing that is concerning and unappetizing. I did not read reviews before going here and after seeing some of them, it seems like cleanliness is an issue. The QR code holders at the table were just disgusting- had food and finger prints all over them- we did not want to touch them as it was clear they were never wiped down. The wait, given that there were hardly any pick up orders and just two tables was very long. In fact, the table before us got up and left before their food even came muttering that they had been waiting forever. We almost left too as there was only one server who kept going in the kitchen and disappearing with no check-in or communication to us. It did not seem that anyone was expediting food and it seemed disorganized. We had to finally get up and go to the kitchen door to get her attention after waiting over 35 minutes for just 2 dosas in a now empty restaurant. Even then, it took several minutes more for the idli to come out and that was after we heard her go into the kitchen to yell to get them out. She never came back to check on us or see if the food was okay and we again had to get up and go to the kitchen door to get her. I certainly understand understaffing issues and difficulties, but between the food stuck in places and unexplainably slow service given we were the only ones there, we will not return.

I hope these issues get resolved because the idli and dosa were tasty but the other issues far overshadowed the food and the experience...

Hi All Yesterday we went for Lunch to this place this was not our 1st time we took food them from this place more than couple of times in Last year and food was good that's the reason we went but yesterday it was a horrible experience. We ordered Veg Platter which includes 1 appetizer, 1 Curry ,1 Dal , Biryani, salad , Raita and Naan When the food came we were disappointed to see the Gutti Vankaya ( stuffed Eggplant) curry nd Naan I asked is this the Right combination with naan? The staff didn't said anything so then I ordered a separate order of Malai kofta Curry because I love naan nd I want to eat it so we ordered. Coming to veg platter again taste of Dal was good and stuffed Eggplant was Fine. Veg Biryani which they gave there is no single veggie in it except I can see Fried onions.Samosa was Good not exactly samosa filling but potato filling with some spices was good to eat. Malai kofta curry order when came and I tasted it was too much Salty. Talking about the staff behaviour they are not at all bothered about customer very very casual attitude. We gave the feedback back nd they are like ohh ok ,no apology or kind of concern we saw them on their face atleast they could have listened to us and talked to us in a proper way that's what I expect if you are facing a customer. While going from home we were about to enquire about party order also for next month but the moment food came and we tasted we didn't even asked for price quote and definitely not going to place party order or normal dine in and take away...

Went in on a Friday night around 6pm and there were absolutely no other diners in the restaurant. That should have been the first red flag. Sat down and received our menus and they were tattered and beaten up. That was the second red flag. We went to order some drinks and each of us had to go through 2-3 beer selections before we could finally order as they were out of everything we tried to choose. I went to the bathroom and saw some very suspicious looking bug(s) in the back hallway and in the bathroom itself. That was the 3rd and final red flag. Unfortunately, my fiancee ordered an appetizer while I was in the bathroom. Upon getting back to the table I had accepted that I was going to eat the app but we decided to get our check and leave after we were finished. Once we asked for the check, we waited at least 10 minutes before we could cash out, and again we were the only people in the restaurant. We were actually outnumbered by the amount of staff they had there. Once I cashed out, I was shocked to see the total bill for 2 beers (1 larger one we would have never ordered if they had what the first 2 choices we made were in stock) and an appetizer was nearly $40 with tip. Outrageous. This restaurant is unclean, the food was sub par, and I have no idea how there are so many 5 star reviews. Needless to say I will never...
