I spent over $20 on 2 meals. I get home and I was given a water instead of a soda. I called the store to get help and after spending 10 minutes trying to navigate their phone system, I was told their customer service support was closed. I dialed it again and finally found a prompt to get me a person on the phone. I was told I needed a receipt or they wouldn’t be able to find my order. After finding the receipt the “manager” told me I could drive back to the store to get my drink. I told her I’m home and I really don’t want to waste the gas driving back. She said they can refund the money to my card. I agreed. Then I was told they can’t refund it to my card; they can only refund the entire order, which she was clear they were not going to do. Why suggest it? She said I can get a refund on the drink the next time I’m there. I asked her why does she assume I would go back after this kind of experience??? There are 2 other locations the same distance from where I live. I told her the experience is ruined. I wanted a soft drink, which is why I got a meal. I suggested she provide something else to make up for the bad experience. I used to get free chicken sandwiches all the time in Utah because of all the money I used to spend there and I’ve spent a lot of money at that store over the summer. She said that’s not an option. I asked to speak to another manager and she said she is the only manager on shift and no one else is available. I asked for the owner’s phone number, because Chick Fil A posts that info at there stores. She then asked if I wanted to speak to another manager so I pointed out that she just told me there was no other manager in the store and that the owner’s number will be fine. She gave me the owner’s email address. There’s more to customer service than trying to correct what was incorrect on the order. That location’s approach to fixing their mistake after I was home was horrible. I’ll never go back to that...
Read moreFirst time going to a chick fil a. Not really impressed at all compared to other places that serve chicken. I could go to a Wendys and get the same thing for cheaper usually. It's all just chicken on a buttered bun really. Even their nuggets were like eight for seven bucks. Really?
I would say that my negative opinion or rating of it really comes from the atmosphere however. I stepped in on a snowy day (the day that I'm posting this) and got some weird looks from the staff. I'm wearing a few layers to keep warm, but look pretty much presentable. Grey button down, red blazer, jeans. I had just gotten off of work and stepped inside to grab something to see what they had and stay warm before the bus came. There were four people at the counter who looked at me strangely as I stepped up in line to order. It was sort of a snobbish look almost. Not very happy about that.
My next problem with the atmosphere were the staff questioning my order. I got a strawberry shake after looking at the menu and deciding that it was kind of pricey for very little. When I got my receipt and sat down there was a manager (I assumed because he was dressed differently) that was complaining about the order: "Why would someone order a milkshake in this weather?" I would, because I wanted something sweet. Shouldn't say stuff in earshot of customers.
After waiting for five minutes while I watched them make my milkshake I came up to grab my order politely. The manager gave me a strange, sort of puzzled and disturbed look as I grabbed it and sat down. Kind of felt like he was judging me negatively. I sat down for a couple minutes before I saw at least three people come out of the kitchen to look at me, and at that point I just left.
At least the cashier told me to have a good night. Talk about feeling awkward and criticized on nothing. Not much of a good experience chick fil a.
The shake wasn't that good...
Read moreI traveled from COS this evening with my 2 year old to pick up my mother in law from DIA. After we left the airport we were all starving and looking for somewhere to eat on the way home on I-25. Traffic was horrendous. We found the nearest Chick Fil A on maps because its always a safe haven when on the road with little kids. We went inside and placed our order, as we are paying the girl says to us "you know our dining room closes at 8pm" (i check my phone, its 7:50pm). I responded that I didn't know, and that would have been helpful to know before we ordered, not after we are paying. I then ask her, "so can we eat our food in here since there is still 10 mins to 8pm?". I am frustrated, i have a baby with me and my mother in law has been traveling.. its actually cold outside tonight so eating in the dark car is our option. I'm also 7 months pregnant so feeding a baby in the car and eating is not easy at all. The girl looks at her coworker next to her and says "can they eat in here for 10 minutes?" the other coworker doesn't even look up at us and says "sure". Honestly, neither worker carried the cheerful chick fil a attitude of helpfulness or hospitality. We sit down and our food comes a few minutes later. The baby's order is wrong so I take it up to the counter. They bring out the food a few minutes later. It really took about 10 minutes for us to get the right food and start eating. A little bit into the meal, one of the workers came up to us and said we had 10 minutes to finish our food. I decided just to not finish my food. I finished feeding the baby and we got up and left.
The whole experience was just absolutely awful. I would never come back to this chick fil a. And since there are so many in Denver, I never will. But I thought the operator would be really embarrassed at how his workers...
