Just finished an excellent meal with my husband! The restaurant is beautifully decorated. It's cozy but does not feel cramped. We had a 5:30 reservation on a Saturday and were pleased to see that it was lively but not too busy throughout our meal. Our waitress was very nice and enthusiastic about the food and ownership of the restaurant. It really added to the experience! The true star of the evening though was the food! It felt like every bite was well planned and flavors complimented each other perfectly in just about every dish. We started with a couple of cocktails. An espresso martini for my husband and a lavender Tom Collins for me, at the server's recommendation. My drink was nice and light and reminded me of a summer lemonade. We ordered the corn and scallion pancakes (10/10 delicious!) and the coconut shrimp (9/10 - would be a 10 if they skipped the spicy tartar sauce and gave double pineapple sauce). It was a delightful start - I seriously could have eaten another order of the savory pancakes myself as a meal. We moved on to a chopped salad (his rating 8/10, mine a 5/10 - It seemed a bit chaotic to me) and a generous portion of their soup of the day - creamy mushroom (10/10). The mushroom soup was fantastic. I was sad to see the bottom of the bowl. For our entrees, we both ordered smoked brisket dishes. He went classic with brisket over mashed potatoes (8/10) and I ordered the brisket sandwich with fries (10/10). The brisket sandwich was a well constructed bite with a pickled onion and cucumber to add some fresh crunch and brightness to balance the smoked meat. It gave me Banh Mi vibes. Awesome! For dessert we ordered the Madeleines with chocolate sauce. The madeleines were the perfect texture and tasted so very rich and buttery. I personally didn't even think the chocolate sauce was needed - a perfect little bite to end the meal!

This local hotspot is located on the main drag, just a stone’s throw from multiple tourist destinations. The local atmosphere was nice, our table clean, and the service prompt. The restaurant was about half full - we showed up without reservations, which was a worry for the first 3-5 minutes but after a brief conference, they placed us near the bar. I went with the fried scallops served with fries - it was good - scallops were cooked to order. They were full of flavor and the breading was quite nice. The winner at dinner, however, was the wife, choosing beef brisket served over mash potatoes covered in gravy. I did scoff at this selection since it seemed this place was known for its vegan selection but i was wrong. so wrong. so so wrong. My wife let me have a taste and that brisket just melted in your mouth - combined with the homemade mash potatoes and that incredible gravy - it was definitely a home run. There was no further offers to share. I thought It was fine because my diminutive wife never finishes those meals - but she sure did this time. Nice spot - good food .

Small cozy place to eat. Gets busy and recommend a reservation. Was sign on for stating they were booked full and no take out. Also looking for help, which is so common these pandemic days. As a result, the service was a little slower but certainly within reason given the circumstances. Got the creamy tomato soup for starter. Was creamy but was a bit short on salt. Mrs got the short ribs with mashed potatoes. She loved and said might be the best gravy she ever had. I had the smoked hangar steak with veg stir fry. Overall, we loved our food but noticed the lack of salt. No big deal and easily added. Just want to point that out since salt wakes up flavor and I'd hate to see anyone give this place a bad review simply because they didn't add some salt. For the amount of food, the price, and quality; I will definitely return. Good eats.

We (party of 3) went to have dinner and try out the restaurant. We arrived at 4:55 PM for a 5:00 PM reservation. We were tole we could pick whichever table we like since we were the first to arrive. We waited a little while for out server to bring us menus and take drink orders, not bad. Our only real issue was we placed our order (Note: there had a special menu for the night with small plates $5 each and you would order from maybe 12 different items} We selected 5 different items and wait and waited maybe 30-40 minutes! Food was excellent so we ordered 3 other items and waited another 30-40 minutes. Placed an order for 3 more items (each plate is very small) and waited but decided to order dessert 20 minutes after and waited another 30-40 minutes. Finally I had enough (note: only 4-5 tables with 2-4 people at each table part of the time we were there) after a 2 hour of dinner and waiting more than dining. I told them cancel our order and bring the check since I did not want to be another hour waiting. They apologized and after a while brought the check and said that they only had only one cook on and issues with computer putting in orders. We really liked the food and the staff were polite and professional but wait times for food and the small amount of people at the restaurant makes for a very bad impression!

Would we go again? MAYBE but will go when not very hungry so the 2 hours and a half of wait time you will not be starving during the wait.

Reply to owner: Since you replied and stated the issues, We will give another try to see. To be honest the food was very good, and was on point, the wait staff were good, unfortunately it is hard to know how if going to be busy or slow in today’s environmentalist . Solid 4 stars but looking to make...

Had great expectations based from reviews but a huge letdown. Shrimp appetizer was the frozen shrimp you buy in Costco / Sam’s Club. Our dinner was a Steak special with mashed potato’s and creamed spinach. It was mediocre at best. Steak was over-cooked, cold and had a weird sauce/gravy on top. The mashed potato’s were definitely not fresh as we could cut into slices with a knife. Simply put my husband compared the meal to a Swanson TV dinner. Overrated and overpriced. Save your money. Much better options elsewhere. A definite no return for us.

In response to the owners ridiculous response to the review, we barely spoke to the server and are always kind to all in the service industry. Your initial response about addressing the issues with the food were appropriate but indicating we were anything but kind speaks to your unwillingness to see that your food is sub-par at best. Also note that you couldn’t even deny the frozen fast food shrimp or old microwaved mashed potato’s. This speaks everything about you as I was only trying to give an honest review as the ones I read were the reason we tried your restaurant. Your response further solidifies my ‘NeverAgain’ as your inability to stay focused on the items I addressed based just on food, speaks to not only your food but your immaturity as a business owner. This is easily apparent by your responses to any of the below negative reviews. Take some constructive criticism to improve instead of acting...
