As a New England native, I take my food seriously - it's the best in the world, no arguments! 🌟 In my 11 years residing in Honesdale, I have never felt compelled to review a restaurant until now. Half Baked is a culinary gem that surpasses anything else in this town. From their homemade breads to meticulously crafted sandwiches using top-notch ingredients, they deliver excellence consistently. A perfect score in every aspect! 💯
And let me tell you, if you're lucky enough to catch one of their pop-up pizza days, you're in for a real treat! Their pizza is unrivaled within a 50-mile radius - no one else comes close! If they decided to focus on pizza full-time, they would undoubtedly overshadow every other eatery in Honesdale. Bold claims? Absolutely, but undeniably true!
A huge shoutout to the entire team for bestowing upon us such extraordinary culinary creations. Your dedication to quality is truly remarkable, and I wish you nothing but continued success in the future. The food at Half Baked is a class of its own in this area - to me, it's the epitome of dining in...
Read moreThis spot is a true gem in Honesdale. For anyone wanting a REAL sandwich that isn’t on restaurant supply bread and generic deli meat, then this is for you. They bake their breads fresh every morning, make fresh cheeses and brined meats, and all of the condiments from scratch. Creative sandwich concoctions as well as all the classics. Be sure to check the daily specials and make sure to add the house-made pickle! I primarily eat vegan and their sandwich called “the Mediterranean” is definitely not your average vegan sandwich, with house-made garlic hummus, pickle relish, and miso-marinated eggplant. The multigrain bread is great but I love upgrading it to a baguette because their baguettes are so good it’s just hard not to lol! The shop can be a little hard to find, tucked in the side/back of a building next to the Cooperage project. But once you know, you know and you’ll likely keep coming back because it’s...
Read moreNever again! $36.31 for three sandwiches and a pickle, actually half a pickle (they charge 1.25 for a pickle and you only get half of one). We ordered the Holy Moly, the Rachel, and the Portabella Melt. Two of the sandwiches tasted fine, but the Holy Moly had bacon that was extremely overcooked to the point of not being edible (picture attached). These sandwiches are very small, your traditional supermarket plastic bagged sliced bread size, not a hero or hoagie size. Very disappointed and I simply do not believe the twenty plus positive reviews, but don't believe me, go and...
