Happy's Snack Bar — Restaurant in Honolulu

We were directed here from the bartenders at the Hale Koa barefoot beach bar. It is a cafeteria style small place. They have some grab and go options like sandwiches, salads, and pizza, or you can order the hot food. They have the classics like burgers, and they also have the kalua pulled pork sandwich. The sandwich was $10.75 with fries. It was a very good sandwich, as it was juicy, tender, and flavorful. The fries were very reminiscent of McDonalds fries. I would highly recommend the pulled pork sandwich. The pizza was basically a gas station pizza, would not recommend. Overall, this isn’t the most unique option, and it doesn’t have the most bang for your buck, but it gets the job done as a place to grab some to go lunch to bring to the beach or to the bar, since the beach bar...

We love the convenience of this place, and the staff and kind and professional. Please please please use compostable products. Single serve giant plastic boxes for every food item is a shame, especially being on an island beach!!! Also, let’s get some more menu items that reflect where we are! Hawaiian plate lunches with fried local eggs.. More healthy options too - stir fry bowls with veggies, rice wraps with tofu and veggies, grilled instead of fried options. More fresh snacks- veggie cups, apples with peanut butter, etc. Local farm foods are what people want to support these days! The staff is always great and very helpful. No complaints. The food is just ok, really no better than hitting a convenience store but not your paying hotel prices, but I agree, on vacation, so part of the deal and yes very convenient when your at the beach. Menu was 3 fountain drinks, turkey sandwich on wheat (don't recommend, very dry), chef salad but you have to pay extra for dressing, roast beef hoagie, mixed fruit cup and 2 bags of chips.
