First I must preface: we went to play pool with a couple friends. We didn't go to the speak easy, our the concert. Our experience was purely a dining/pool playing experience. Bare in mind as well that social distancing a very minor role in my experience tonight.
First, there was very little clear signage to differentiate between the different rooms so you have to ask around, very minor and the front staff were very kind if not busy directing people.
Where the issues really began was pool area we were at. 3 of the stool were a fabric sort and our friend has fun slapp the cushion with the pool cues to which the cushion responded with multiple cloud of brown dust that lingered on the seats. It was filthy and disgusting. The group of 4 had to share two seats of the remaining seats that were leather or vinyl instead.
The bar staff wasn't exceptionally kind which would be okay if the food was any good. We orders a rum and coke, bottle of water and gyoza to start. My wife was already really hungry. At least we got a our drinks. After 30 minutes rolled by I asked about the gyoza and the bar tender said that they were waiting on the restaurant to finish. "Okay, No Problem" but another 15 or 20 minutes went by and so I asked for fries and another round of drink. 10 minutes later the fries came out. Okay for about an hour of cooking, the gyoza must be good right? Made from scratch, maybe with all local ingredients? No they came out after the sad fries we got and they were only warm, not hot, rubbery and basically tasted like once frozen store-bought microwave gyoza. The fries though, must be somewhat good right? Wrong again. I got a mixed batch of burned and lame soft fries, obviously frozen fries. If we weren't so hungry, we would've taken more pictures of the food. We ate, we played a few games and drank the pretty alright drinks and we paid they less than kind bank staff. All in all, I will never go back
TL:DR Food was terrible. Drinks were alright for the price. The bar staff has poor customer service. I do not recommend going for...
Read moreBeen coming here for years and a bartender I have yet to meet on a Saturday is one of the rudest inconsiderate people I’ve met in the service industry to date. If you’re lucky enough to have your order taken after waiting for 3 minutes of her and her bar mate discussing their daily life’s challenges while you stand there just staring at them then consider yourself lucky. After playing pool then darts we as a group of 8 decided to play pool again which she rudely says there’s a wait list. I have managed night clubs for years before I started my own business’s and know that sometimes days are just tougher than other so didn’t take this rudeness to heart. It wasn’t until we asked if we could play on a empty table she said “does it look like we are letting people play on that table” then I said “well that was a bit rude, you could have just said that we couldn’t play there for whatever reason”. And then she said we couldn’t go onto the waitlist because I was having a bad time. When I asked for her name and manger she said her name was Megan and she was the manager. So I asked for her manager and she said she was the general manager. So I have run multi million dollar operations and I’m sure a early 20 year old with these standards will not be running a established business of this size so I’m pretty skeptical that she was the GM, possibly her name wasn’t even Megan, who knows. Shift manager possibly but definitely not the GM. I left so that the rest of my party would be allowed on the wait list. I’ve spent thousands of dollars here and bring employees here on numerous occasions but this is by far the worst service I’ve been given. Normally I promote this as a place to have staff night outs and special occasions, but I was embarrassed that I even brought my group here as they had the same issues with rudeness and waiting until they finished chatting before they served us. I really hope this doesn’t become the norm of such a...
Read moreI visited Brian’s with a group of friends on Friday night, from around 10 PM to 12:30 AM. We had a great time playing pool and enjoying a few drinks. Everything was fun—until the end. My friend paid the total bill with her card, and we were going to split it later. That’s when I noticed an extra bottle of water was added to our tab.
I politely told the staff that I only ordered one bottle, but the woman with permed hair snapped at me, insisting I had come up a second time to ask for another. I said that wasn’t true, but she just ignored me and moved on to the next customer without even trying to resolve the issue.
In the end, I paid $8 for two bottles of water—ironically, the same price as a Dirty Shirley. Sure, $4 per bottle isn’t outrageous, but it wasn’t about the money. It was the dismissive attitude and the way she handled the situation that really ruined the night for me. I had only one drink (Dirty Shirely) and one bottle of water, so I wasn’t even tipsy—just genuinely upset.
I’m writing this review because I was left feeling frustrated and disrespected. If that employee also believes she’s being treated unfairly, I encourage the management to check the security footage. Maybe then she’ll realize this wasn’t a misunderstanding—it was her mistake.
I’ve already paid the unnecessary amount, but I’m speaking up so others don’t have to go through the same experience. I truly hope the customer service improves, and no one else has their night ruined over...
