Discovering Topped Waikiki was like stumbling upon a flavor fiesta! While authenticity might be up for debate, the taste is a party in your mouth. Picture this: I embarked on a culinary journey with the kalbi steak, eggs over rice – a feast where the steak was the headliner, plentiful and as tender as a heartfelt melody.

Sure, there was a mountain of rice, a side salad with a mysterious dressing (which was fine, by the way), and the egg? Well, it played a bit coy – slightly undercooked. But fear not, it added a touch of suspense, allowing you to spread the yolk across the rice like a saucy maestro, turning every bite into a symphony of flavors.

Now, let's talk location – it's a hop, skip, and a jump away if you're in Waikiki. But here's the twist – Topped Waikiki shares space with Pineapple House, where they're not only serving up tasty treats but also blending smoothies and crafting açaí bowls out of the same window. It's a bit like a double feature – maybe muddled, but hey, who doesn't love a food and fruity adventure?

As for the search for the shop's name, it's a bit of a scavenger hunt off to the side of the window, adding a touch of mystery to the whole experience. Now, let's talk value – the price tag felt like a steal, especially when you peek at the neighbors. I've witnessed a line here before, but luck was on my side – just one order ahead, and I seized the moment.

Was it flawless? Nah, but perfection is overrated. I genuinely savored every bite, and while I can't vouch for the entire menu, the kalbi steak with eggs over rice gets a standing ovation from me. 생각보다 맛있어요! (Tastier...

Great food, filling and decently priced.

######edited ###### The owner reached out directly and clarified that they don’t charge such things. Still unclear what’s happening but appreciate their responsive actions! Thanks :)

Removing two stars because of the lack of transparency in cost when ordering online. I ordered online on their website, total came out 32$ but credit bill said $40. Nothing online said anything like 40 or the missing $8. I assume it’s “forced” gratuity, which made me uncomfortable. Had the website said anything about it - that 20-25% of the total bill (which is high for online ordering and no actual service…) would be billed additionally for whatever reason like facilitating the order, I would have understood and at least known about it. I don’t want to be cheap and annoying about $8 but it’s the fact that was never disclosed to me during the checkout, reciept, etc that bothers me.

Anyway, if i ever order again i will directly go to the booth or...

Topped Waikiki 2.0 is a hidden gem in the heart of Waikiki, offering affordable and flavorful Korean-inspired dishes. The restaurant is known for its customizable bowls, allowing diners to choose their preferred protein, rice, and toppings. Popular choices include Kalbi Steak & Egg, Spicy Pork, and Bibimbap, all served fresh and made to order. The portion sizes are generous, making it a great value for those looking for a satisfying meal without breaking the bank.

The cozy and casual atmosphere makes it an ideal spot for both locals and tourists seeking a quick yet delicious bite. While the restaurant is small, the friendly service and quality ingredients make up for the limited seating. Some guests note that wait times can be longer during peak hours, but the freshness and taste of the food make it worth the wait. Whether you're craving bold flavors or a comforting meal, Topped Waikiki 2.0 delivers a memorable dining...

A small little shack in Waikiki that specializes in Korean food. The place sort of sticks out between the buildings with distinctive emerald-colored exterior. But what's even more distinctive about this spot is the fact that they serve poached eggs with their rice bowl as opposed to typical fried egg, which is very common in Korean rice bowls. I ordered kimchi fried rice, fried dumplings and beef/butter rice to-go. I must say, I was extremely pleased with my selection. My palate can be described as somewhat bland, as I don't like to blast my food with salt. That's what I really liked about this spot, as they helped in keeping my sodium intake on the low side without having to ask about reducing the salt input. Only downside was the service. The owner can become a little more receptive/welcoming towards the customers and it wouldn't hurt to smile a little more 😊. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quick Korean-bite in Honolulu!

Pretty mediocre food nothing special, What was special was the service I’ve NEVER felt more unwanted as a customer in my entire life I’m sorry I had to stop you from scrolling on your phone so you can help me After waiting around 10 mins LITERALLY in-front of her to get off the phone I was finally helped with a terrible annoyed attitude Got charged a service fee for using a debit card NOT a credit card that’s never happened to me before either debit is 99% seen as a cash transaction Overall terrible customer service Terrible backwards “service fees” And mediocre food wouldn’t recommend at all go next door they don’t speak English but at least you’re not a inconvenience to them.
