The problem with this place is really centered on the management. Somehow the staff consistently take massive amounts of time for relatively basic things. Example in mind - came in early one morning for an Americano and a breakfast burrito. After trying to figure out how to change the order for a couple minutes (the person behind the counter by mistake put in latte and had to change it) I took my now screaming baby outside to wait until she was ready for me to pay. Then the burrito took 25 minutes. There was no one else ordering food in the restaurant and maybe 3 other guests in between having coffees, no food. I was told âthereâs one person in the kitchenâ but given experience I can only surmise they spent 25 min making everything from scratch, because bacon would maybe take that long. What I got at the end was good (how can you mess up a half pound of bacon and egg) but it was sloppily put together and fell apart when I got it. I think they donât have a system in place so they are caught out regularly on orders. This isnât the only time either, itâs a regular occurrence.
TLDR - itâs fine but takes YEARS to get your order, which isnât acceptable and can be easily resolved with...
Read moreNot great, and it was because of the service. We arrived, and an employee acknowledged us from way off on the side. I was standing in front of the register. Eventually the employee came over and just stood there. No, âcan I help you?â or anything. After an awkward amount of time, he asked my friend, who was standing back of me if he knew what he wanted. My friend deferred to me, and I asked if he had drip coffee. He just looked at me and then motioned to the dispenser behind him like I was a moron. What a jerk. How would I know if it was made and available and fresh? It was lukewarm, and I was so turned off by this guy that I did not say anything. The woman working there on the other hand was very friendly. If the coffee was hotter, it would have been good, and the atmosphere was nice. But as long as that is the service I should expect for a nearly $5 cup of lukewarm drip, itâs a hard pass for a return visit. There are too many other shops. and the reviews here consistently mention lackluster service that, at this point, it is to be...
Read moreTime to review a new coffee place I treated myself to, Bluestone Lane in the Post Oak area. I had never been here before and was eager to see what awaited me. The location & feel of this small spot is cozy and definitely gives coffee vibes which I love bc Im a big coffee drinker. I was pleased to see their menu went beyond the typical pastries đĽ (for which they have a variety of). I ordered a salmon/cream cheese on multi grain toast- and to put it mildly - it was bad. The toast was toasty which I enjoyed .. but now if I could only get to the toast underneath the piles and piles of cream cheese and avocado. The salmon was extremely thin so the abundance of spread provided for an awkward taste. The salmon was also not fresh and Iâm a salmon expert ! Oh and I forgot to mention I did not order âď¸ coffee- because I was NOT in a 5$ cup kind-of-mood. The menu is pricey and without doubt not worth it. However, I donât want to end on a bad note, so one nice thing was the staff = professional & sweet. đ...
