Very chíc and trendy place. The food is outstanding, and it has definitely become one of our office go-to locations for a nice lunch. I am especially fond of the crunchy chicken sandwich, a sandwich of thick slices of chicken piled between two slices of delicious pretzel bread with a layer of crunchy nuts and crisp cucumber. The egg salad is also pretty outstanding, and my party also tried the grilled french toast, which was scrumptious.

The restaurant itself is located inside the courtyard of the Tanglewood Apartments. It shares the courtyard with a spa and another restaurant, Dish Society. The courtyard itself is very pretty and males for a great dining atmosphere, but the downside of that is that all three businesses share the same parking lot. This is usually not a big deal since the fact that it's in an apartment complex means that there's an attached parking garage, but that garage can fill up during peak dining hours, which can be a bit of a headache considering the upper levels of the garage are reserved for tenants.

All in all, I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone willing to listen. The food is great, never fails to taste fresh, and the staff...

Love the food at Local Foods. The menu is like healthified comfort food with a twist. Everything we have tried has been good. Bonus, usually the line is short, and the food comes out pretty quickly.

If you have allergy concerns, then this is a pretty safe place. Just let them know when you are placing your order, and they put a red note on your ticket. I haven't had any noticeable gluten reaction, so they seem to be doing a good job. (*see a concern below) Last time I asked about their fried chips and found out that they have changed their menu so that no gluten goes in the fryer. My only complaint is I would like more description on the menu. One time I ordered the vegan frito pie. The queso description didn't say TVP, so I ended up taking it to go for someone else. I did find out that they can make the queso without the TVP upon request. *The concern I haven't pursued an answer about is their source of TVP. It's not something I would normally eat, so that's why I haven't asked. Sometimes there is gluten in TVP. At the Kirby location, a woman who took my order said to avoid the TVP if I had a gluten allergy. Aside from that highly...

Local Foods astonishes me in that its overall consistency across different locations. No matter if I visit the Kirby, downtown, or Tanglewood location, I am consistently met with great, delicious, healthy food, and fantastic service. The chain has become a reliable brunch spot for my wife and I whenever we can't decide on what we want to eat and for good reason.Every location has a familiar decor, ample seating, and an efficient system to ensure that food is delivered promptly.

Like other locations, the sandwiches are all delightful and the inclusion of two sides allow enough variety and sustenance into the meal, so that any hunger is satiated. I personally enjoyed the bagel lox, which came with a plethora of accompaniments that made it much more exciting and colorful.

For this specific location, my wife was given the wrong item from what she ordered, and when we brought it to their attention, the order was immediately corrected, and we were compensated for free meals without having to make any requests! That sort of service is what distinguishes a good business from a great one, and I hope Local Foods...

Love all the local foods and this location does not disappoint. there is a lot of seating for both small and large parties and the layout is conducive to both intimate and public type atmospheres. Great place to come alone or with others. You could study, talk, or celebrate a birthday. They do serve alcohol which is a plus for most adults. Kids are always welcome in the outside spaces usually live room for little ones to run around. The upstairs is small, but very cozy. Great for catching up. The seating along San Felipe is bright and sunny making you feel like you're a part of the city. The food is always very fresh and the drink choices are varied. Many seasonal options. Sensitive to vegetarian vegan and dietary needs. Friendly staff. Great aesthetic. Always very clean. There's a great outside space behind which has a lot of seating. Excellent for weekend get-togethers.
