Update: please see the business’s comment below which exactly demonstrates how their customer service is the WORST I’ve ever seen. I never asked the store to match the promotion?! I asked the cashier to cancel a not-yet-paid order as we found the BOGO free promotion on Uber Eats. I said sorry and told her we gonna order from Uber Eats instead. Your staff told us that this promotion was not valid and the store would cancel our Uber order if we use it. Again, it’s not about the extra $3 or $5 I paid, but rather I was told completely wrong information and made a purchase, while later when I figured it out, no one from your store seemed to feel sorry for it. And I can’t get upset because I was fooled? Am I the unreasonable one here? These’s CLEARLY some problem with your employee training. After seeing your response, which didn’t touch the misleading information part at all, I guess I was being too nice initially to still gave your food a 4-star rating.

All I can say now is that I wish your business will continue to flourish, with your current effort in customer service and the super unwelcoming attitude for non-positive feedback.

The customer service is the WORST I’ve experienced. They would overcharge you by fooling you that an existing promotion is not valid.

My friend found that Uber Eats was doing BOGO free for this Hui Lau Shan location while I was about to place an order at the store, so I said sorry and asked the cashier to cancel this order (I hadn’t paid yet and they hadn’t prepared anything). When I was about to walk away as my friend was placing the order through Uber Eats, the cashier stopped me and said they were not participating in this promotion. Both my friend and I were shocked. My friend showed the cashier her phone and asked “Does this mean that you will cancel our Uber Eats order if we order with this promotion?” We both heard the cashier said a firm “Yes. We won’t make it.” So I still placed the order in-store. But we got so curious on if they would really cancel their Uber eats orders with this BOGO free promotion, so my friend placed one more order online anyways. And guess what? Yes of course she got the drinks. I went back to ask how this was happening. A lady looked like the store manager came out and asked me “What do you want then?” like I was cheaply bagging for a free drink. I feel I deserve at least a proper apology after paying you the extra money due to your misleading statement!

I will be sure to avoid this Hui Lau Shan locationfrom now on. SUPER hurt and disappointed.

And I wanted to add that I did NOT take their later offer to refund me the money, as I feel I need to share this experience out to help other customers. Service is very rude, I found BOGO promotion on UberEats so I wanna place the order online rather than in store, the staff said they do not participate in the promotion, even though there’s not any sign or explanation on Uber, I asked what if I place the order online, the replied they’ll cancel it. However, since everything shows fine on UberEats, I felt super weird and still tried to place the order, they made it with impatience. Moreover, I add chewy ball for two drinks but only get one.

Looks clean inside in the cashier was nice to us. It’s run by Chinese people so you know that it’s authentic.
