Absolutely awful experience. Waitress barely checked in on us and seemed to not know what she was doing. I personally am a server so I like to be pretty lenient whenever it comes to waiting on a server to come by since I get it. With that being said though, it was super slow and there was nobody there and she only had us as a table. She also barely spoke any English so it was very hard for her to understand us and she didn't go and get someone to translate and communicate with us/for us.
Moving onto the food side of things. We ordered an appetizer of gyoza and they were overcooked. The sushi was decent but with the conveyer belt they have red rimmed plates which are more expensive than the black rimmed plates. I saw about a total of 3 black rimmed plates for the duration I was there but there was an abundance of red rimmed plates, so they pretty much forced you to choose the more expensive options and even if I wanted to order the cheaper options, our server was nowhere to be seen for the majority of the meal as I previously stated. The sushi itself didn't taste awful but it also wasn't something to brag on. The soy sauce that they provide is way too salty to even use. My stomach also did start feeling very upset and I made many trips to the restroom not even 12 hours after eating here.
The list can go on and on about all the things that went wrong with this experience and I will most...
Read moreThe food goes around a belt as you said at a random place in a restaurant waiting for the sushi or dessert to come by.
When the sushi comes by you have to remember exactly which one it is that you're looking for and if you forget for a split second don't look at the menu because it will take too long. By the time you look back up the food will be gone to the next thing.
The food quantity is very low, especially for the price. The food doesn't taste that great. I would rather go to a legitimate sushi restaurant.
It's also very easy to spend a lot of money for no reason because you're just collecting items along the line and not realizing how much it truly is until they bring the bill.
Sure, they tell you on certain days it's $5 for a blue mark on the plate or $7.50 for a pink marked plate. But when you pick something like this up and there are only two pieces or four pieces of sushi, you will definitely want something else and the price can easily stack up without you realizing.
The desserts are hit or miss. I would say ignore them. And they have other menu items that you do have to order with a waiter for it to be made in the back.
If you really want sushi and you're at the galleria, I guess it's fine but don't expect top notch sushi. But expect to...
Read moreI thought this was a SUPER neat concept! Each time we frequent the Galleria I say I want to try it! Finally we did it. We were seated right away at a not so clean table. No problem, I had napkins and wipes in my purse. The person who sat us took our order. We ordered 2 rolls. Basic California and a dragon roll. We waited 10 minutes and nothing, others after us already received their food. So we said we will just eat from the line while we wait. 3 plates and 20 more minutes go by (the food was not good AT ALL and the masago on one roll was completely spoiled). We stop a server and ask about the food. “It’s on his way, sorry for the delay”. We finally ask for the ticket after about 7 more minutes (2 tables sat after us are gone and more sat down). A team lead apologizes and says it’s being boxed and it’s on the house because of their tardinesses. I tell her thank you and we appreciate it but it wasn’t necessary. She said it’s what they do, Customer service! About 4 minutes later she comes back with the bill and “per the manager either pay for it or leave” because they can put those 2 rolls on the belt and make the money back. No problem! We paid for our 3 plates we got off the belt and we will...
