My friend and I had a section...the first young lady was getting off, this was around 8pm and we got there about 7:30. We waited and waited and waited for a new server. Eventually, we asked a young lady in a black body suit about a server, and she sent over a petite woman with dreads in a ponytail. She was a sweetheart but totally unattentive. The place wasn't busy; we got our drink orders and food. She checked on us once after we got our food. It was about 30 minutes we waited for her as we were ready to cash out. She constantly passed us to help her other tables. On to the food, the fish and grits were great and beautifully plated. It didn't take long at all for the food to come out . Hot and fresh 10/10. The music was cool, nice mix. The DJ was on point and didn't do too much. Now my biggest takeaway was the music was entirely too loud . This is a biased opinion because our section was directly under a speaker. Bottom line, will we visit again.. yes. I think this establishment is pretty nice, we just encountered some couple hiccups.

I love my people and I love to turn up, but this is another example of an urban night spot with deplorable service masquerading as a restaurant/ lounge. I understand there are growing pains and surges of patrons, but in no world should I have to have a staring match with a bartender just to order a drink. It's no better with a section. I legit waited over 2 hours for some wings and fries and when it came out there were three wings and cold fries. A manager did help rectify the situation, which I will give credit for- but it would be great if this issue never arose in the first place. The DJ is great and the food is actually pretty good, it's just the service both behind the bar and at the sections leave much to be desired.

I decided to give this place a chance after seeing it on IG big mistake. First of all I made reservations you have to Cashapp $50 the screenshot it, next parking is $40-$60, okay there is no greeters or hostess, tables were not clean had to wait 15 minutes for that to happen, drinks are awful, food the lamp chops were nothing but fat and no season really applied. Service was below subpar I understand they are new but gotta be better than that. If you want to sit in a section smoke hookah, pay overpriced drinks, and listen to a dj talk over the music this is your spot.. but for Quality Food, Quality Drinks, and caring service this is not it.

Terrible experience. Abysmal management. It was only two of us so we were told we had to sit at the bar, understandable. We wanted wings and it was late so this was the only play open as we had a flight to catch in the morning. We ordered 6pc lemon paper wings and the boudin egg rolls. That is all. After waiting for an hour and the food still not being ready, we eventually decided it would be best to just head back to our place. I told the women at the bar to let her know not to worry about our food. There’s was no anger, just exhaustion from a long day and an early morning. We walked out. As we crossed the street and man began yelling. I turned to hear what he was saying and he claimed we had run out on our tab. He said he was the general manager. We walked back over to him and told him the food was not ready, there was no tab to be walked out on. He said the food was ready then and we could wait her go in or pay the tab “or else”. Highly unprofessional. Obviously I did not expect an eloquent response from a man running a hookah and wing place, however. His lack of professionalism was almost humorous as it was absurd. He said that our lack of communication is what led us to this point. We did, in fact, communicate our departure as we no longer wanted to wait. We explained to him that we waited an hour for food. His excuse? “This is Houston sweetie”. A disgrace and lie on this city. He claimed the food was done so we followed him back in the building to pay. We paid. They added their own gratuity that is no way, shape or form, communicated as being part of the tab. Speak of a lack of communication. After paying for the food, we waited an additional, 15-20 minutes for food that was supposedly “done and waiting”. When confronting the general manager about his deception, his response was “sorry we wanted your food to be hot”. It is such a shame that all it takes is one person to ruin an experience. The original plan was to just catch our flight of country and try this place again when we had a more flexible schedule. Won’t being doing that. The gerneral manager is a disgrace and to blame his shortcomings and lack of responsibility on Houston is atrocious. A disgrace in every sense of the word. The atmosphere was actually nice until he made an appearance. Food was subpar. Lemon pepper had more salt than lemon or pepper. The boudin eggrolls were actually decent. Would recommend them if you decide to try this place and have the patience of a saint and like getting...

Owners of theses entities and promoters sponsoring their location need to quit the fakery on social media as if it’s the spot to be at. I recently went to this location and was met with slow service, lack of silverware, and the restaurant lacked the food being advertised on the menu. Not to mention, we had a reservation issue.

I booked with the promoter and was under the assumption that the reservation deposit would go to total billed charges at the end of my tab. It did not. If you go through a promoter on their instagram your reservation deposit will not be added to the bill. I guess the promoter pockets the reservation fee. Apparently, if you book directly through Paradise and cash app their tag the reservation deposit will be added to the bill. This should be made obvious to the customer of what applies and how before we walk in the door.

It took nearly 72 hours to get 1/2 of my $50 deposit back from this business. They attempted to make things right by offering 1/2 of the deposit back and the other $25 accredited to another dining experience in this facility. After I explained the day before I had no intent on coming back to this location for any reason. Word of advice- if an unhappy customer justifiably requests a refund of their deposit back pay them in full and do it promptly. This is a business transaction, not a favor.

Don’t sponsor your blackness as a means of exploiting men and women who make their money the hard way just for them to turn over their dollar at your business for leisure and be disappointed. It’s an inconvenience, disrespectful, and pathetic business habits.

Take away- do not launch your business if you cannot meet the consumer’s basic expectations! I don’t give a care if you are a black owned business. The game goes, if you're black then you represent flawlessly cause you know what negativity quickly surrounds our businesses. My job as the consumer is not to develop a better business model and be a leader of encouragement. It should already be in the manuscript of your business that we serve the best dining experience because we are here to win. This business is deficient in infrastructure and devoid of the talent necessary to function at a level acceptable to the whole black...

The only reason this place gets 1 star is because of the ambiance. Here’s the night from start to finish; first off we sit down waitress comes and asks what we want to drink the dj announced Moet is 100$ till 11:30pm we order the bottle bill came and it’s 229$ we ask why she says tax and gratuity we ask to see the receipt she brings it with an attitude and we say that’s not what was said so we don’t want it. She comes back to take our food order and seems to have an attitude when we’re asking about menu items. Some of us ordered grits and shrimp I ordered mashed potatoes and lamb chops some ordered wings. Wings amazing very good. Grits look like couscous and the lamb chops were so charred and burnt I didn’t even eat them. I should’ve known something when they didn’t ask how would you like them cooked. We were given a stack of plastic cups and utensils on plastic with one salt and pepper packet. Horrible then when the bill came we had cash and waitress stated we don’t have little bills for change at that point we paid the bill and just walked out hungry and with a major attitude. The table was a square end table we ate with the plates on our lap. So unless you’re just looking to smoke hookah and marijuana and listen to music please choose another atmosphere by far this is the worse experience I’ve ever had traveling to any state in my life. Would never even wanna go back here to utilize the bathroom horrible horrible...
