I will never go to this establishment again!!! On January 23th I was at this location. When leaving I forgot my purse under the table where I was sitting. When I realized I had left the purse I immediately headed back to the store and called on my way. Over the phone I was told the purse wasn't there. When I arrived (10-15 minutes after I left) the lady sitting at the table I had been occupying minutes before confirmed she had found the purse and handed it to the cashier. When I asked several employees about my purse, I was ignored repeatedly and told the purse wasn't there. When the lady who found my purse and I confronted the store supervisors, Michael (one of the supervisors) said he had handed a guess brand, black and white, striped purse to another customer who had also lost a purse earlier that day. Both the lady who had handed the purse and I confirmed my purse wasn’t striped and it was white with black borders and of Cole Haan brand. Michael pretended to be clueless and to not recall seeing my purse handed to his coworker; despite the fact the witness assured he was present and saw his coworker handing my purse. Given the fact that the purse wasn't found although it had been handed to the cashier minutes before I asked about it, I had to call the police. As soon as the police officer arrived and I explained the situation my purse appeared. How convenient?!?!?!?! I checked my purse and verified all my belongings were inside. However, I noticed and pointed out to the supervisor that someone had clearly taken out and put back the cash I had in my purse. I always organize my wallet with checks in the back, and then all bills in nominal order. When I checked I noticed that the bills were not in order and the checks were scattered among the bills. Since this day I have tried contacting the store manager (Ryan Rogers), corporate customer service, the District Manager (Yuliya), and the Regional Director (Brian Case) as I requested to see a copy of the videos of that morning to see who took my purse. I was told that I could only see the video if I the police requested it. According to Yuliya, the results from their investigation were the following: The person who took my purse was identified. The person placed the purse in the wrong location and left the store A different crew came in and someone saw my purse and moved it to a different location, not knowing it was a lost and found article 3 more purses were placed on top of my purse All of these events happened within 5-10 minutes.
There was no explanation as to why the person who initially took my purse wasn't contacted to see where she left my purse. Yuliya also refused to confirm if there are cameras in the back of the store. However, she confirmed that after reviewing the videos and investigation she was unable to verify if someone had gone through my purse. According to Yuliya the corrective action taken is to train employees regarding how to handle lost and found articles. However, the person who took my purse and the money out of it has gone unpunished and has not been reported to the authorities.

Read moreHappily, I arrived at Starbucks for my morning coffee but suddenly I had to use the RR first. Quickly, the mood changed as I was coming out of the bathroom I began to be verbally attacked by the manager of this location (older Caucasian lady). She began yelling and screaming at the top of her lungs because the door was locked. At first, I was baffled and really didn't know how to respond. As I was purchasing my coffee from two very nice people I asked who the manager was. To my dismay, it was the same lady who had harassed me coming out of the bathroom. After getting my coffee and heading out he door, I politely went to her to express to her how I did not appreciate the attack and the embarrassment for a very minor situation. She became very defensive, loud, and unapologetic for her juvenille behavior. During our exchange of words I was then hastily approached by an aggressive African American security officer who had just harassed another man who was just sitting minding his own business. The security officer began to make threats towards me and various other snide remarks as she accused me of harassing an employee who moments earlier was yelling at me as if I stole something. The security officer inflamed the entire situation causing a very disruptive scene. If you have been to this location you are all to familiar with the people who walk in off the street who are not customers. Safety is definitely a concern. Therefore, being that it was 6:10 in the morning, and very dark by the bathroom; I felt it was in my best interest to lock the door. The cops have been called on several occasions while patronizing this establishment. I tried to express to the manager my disapproval of how I was treated and that privately using the bathroom did not warrant her radical response. First, there was no sign on the door. Secondly, I did not break the law. Thirdly, she came kicking and beating the door like a person who was out of control. Ironically, The other employee who was with her quietly entered the bathroom and handled her business. I will handle the situation with the security officer with legal authorities as I’m sure she is not a part of the Starbucks company because she clearly enjoys making threats on people’s lives as if she has REAL authority. BEWARE OF POSSIBLE HARRASSMENT BY EMPLOYEES AND SECURITY OFFICERS AT...
